That performance was bottom of the barrel stuff and is bound to turn the faithful away, question is when it comes to the manager should we stick with him or twist another.
The players he has signed have been generally OK but his failure to bolster his strike force when many an opportunity arose IMO has spoilt his expectations and ours.
It seems that inconsistency will again keep us down in this league, so to avert this something has to change now before its too late, that is spend on a decent striker and
keep the manager or release Paul Hurst and try another managerial tact.
Changing the manager is a risk ie better the devil you know, but failing to do anything after that awrful display is also a risk in falling gates and a static league position . A new man at the helm if chosen carefully would create an atmosphere where non now exsists

| The wife was going away for a girly weekend. I jokingly remarked 'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football' 'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked She said 'Well you already know how to play football' |

The people with the deciding vote are our two trust members on the board. So what do they think?
My view is there is no point changing while we still have a reasonable chance of making the post-season,

Thats exactly why we should twist now ! Its been the same for the last 3 seasons , lets not change because we still have a chance of the play offs . We have no chance of the title now and very little chance of the play offs with this loser in charge .

I do not think Hurst will get us out of this league,
He can not get the players to play consistently from one game to another,
One game we are good the next awful .
Sorry Paul, you have got to go.

Nah. I still think we will make the play-offs. Tend to doubt we will be good enough to go up though, based on tonight's non-performance against another of the 'weaker' teams in the division.
Personally, I'm not a fan of changing manager mid-season as it rarely works out. For every one that does, you get many more that don't. I thought it an error when Woods eventually went and Scott and Hurst arrived. Woods needed to go, but there was no reason not to wait until the summer for that move as we were on a hiding to nothing with that team. We're painfully inconsistent at the moment, but I wouldn't like to see a change unless things take a turn drastically for the worse.
Just listened to the post-match interview which was pretty sensible as usual. However, I thought Hurst was much too kind to the players. Without naming names, he could certainly have been a lot more critical of the performance. It is fine to note that you get poor performances from time to time, but I reckon giving the players a rocket when they've been that bad is more than deserved. Perhaps he's just being too nice without the Scott to play the bad cop role?

Twist. This season was about having a proper go at the title and we're way, way short. It's staggering. Only my second time at the Park tonight and couldn't believe how abject and devoid of ideas we looked.
Hurst fills me with absolutely no confidence tactically and in the transfer market.
I'd give Ronnie Moore a chance. Experience grafter with something to prove. Has had success at ugly, unfashionable clubs and the FA investigation that undid his fantastic work at Tranmere was proven to be a shambles (sacked over a £2 accy ffs).
