In my experience of live football streaming for free you are constantly pestered by adverts and the speed of the broadcast is all over the place.
I suppose if you subscribe it is a lot better.

Are we sure it was supposed to be 'streaming' and not just the usual live coverage ie commentary?

No, someone posted on here after the Notts County game about there being an issue with the camera and them needing to order a part in order to get the live stream working.
