I think once this XI is all fit and well, then we will tank it

McKeown
Tait - Gowling - Pearson - Robertson
Arnold - Disley - Clay - Monkhouse
Amond - Bogle.

I think our super subs, that should be brought in near the end, to just keep the foot on the gas are:
Marshall, Robinson and Toto - these 3 add pace and another dimension to just keep us fighting to the last whistle.

Obviously if we play a faster team, swapping Toto for Gowling may be a good idea. BUT Toto should not be playing RB if we have East and Tait ready to go.

!Just MY opinion!!!!!

What East is better than Tait? Agree to disagree, East is a young talent (much like Bogle and Toto) But for me Tait is levels above East in terms of defensive mind and going forward. I'd like to see Hurst try East ina  central midfield role, but not first choice RB for me...

[but yeah opinions, I just thought I'd explain mine )

Am I the only one who thinks Robertson is only an OK left back and nothing special. I go back to the notorious Chester away game where both goals came from his side especially the daft penalty he gave away.

I would much rather see the right footed East play there, he is better getting forward whereas Robertson struggles to get back at times.

Robertson is more solid as a LB, he seems more aware. However East will replace him in time, but as of current Robertson is better,

East is a definite for me. His cross for Amond's goal was perfect. Does all Monkhouse's running for him too. They work well together.

Why would you want to do that ?
He's a full back, why Hurst would want to try any player out of position is beyond me.
What a daft idea.
I also don't buy in to playing Toto at right back, again why when we have specialist full backs in East, Tait and Robertson.
All arguably better full backs than Toto.

Agree completely. Robertson is steady enough, positionally decent but has no pace. Thought we did well to get him in at short notice last season, and I had him figured as cover for the LB position this time around. His alleged great dead-ball delivery looks like a myth, tho'.
