The OS is suggesting that Greg Pearson is on the bench in place of Soares. It is the OS though so god knows how accurate that is.

I think the common argument from the managers and fans is that " well at least he is always in the position and space to miss them" ... he clearly always shows a strikers instinct to be in the right place at the right time .. he just needs composure.

I disagree. Colbeck has had numerous assists, won pentalty and scored one this season, not to mention good wing play. Cook however has been absolutely terrible and does not deserve his position in the team. Being able to hold a ball up is not enough.. i do that every sunday.

southwell for Cook and Thanoj for Artus.

Well done .. i keep seeing ridiculous comments and you keep replying with decent comments.

As you've said Kidderminster are a half decent side, we're away and had easily the better chances .. did hit the bar twice and had an ansolutely abysmal referee to contend with. Rob Scott said earlier this week on the OS " If we want to do well we have to keep drawing or winning away and winnign at home.

We are clearyl difficult to beat and even break down. Unbeaten in 7 now is it? really not bad at all .

Frustrating with the chances we had, we're still lacking a bit up front but not the end of the world. Will be very surprised if Kiddy are anywhere near the bottom of the table by the end of the season.

Shame we couldn't win but hey 2 tough home games comming up should be interesting, doubt we'll loose any of them to be honest, a win and another draw I reckon. UP THE MARINERS!

I went today, just got back to car. I haven't read this whole thread just the last page and I'm a bit baffled to be honest who was the commentator? Jt? What's he say? Was it his normal negative views?

We played really well and should of won be we didn't! Another clean sheet never even looked like conceding. We hit the bar twice, elds and cook should of scored but we look really solid! AGainst an organised side who will be up there with us come the end of the season.

I'm still baffled we haven't signed anyone on loan to be honest for that extra bite that we need, I think southwell should of came on alot sooner but we did what we have to do! I'd say a win on Friday is a must to be fair although a draw and a win against gateshead would also be alright.

If we keep in or around top 5 for when hearn comes back mid to late Feb then I think we'll be alright.

DOn't get to doom it was a very organised performance! If luck was on our side we Would have won.

Had this been a home game then I would agree with the negative posts but a point away at this stage and a clean sheet is well worth having. Nobody in the top 7 won today with macc having to scramble a point a point. A good week for us really unlike forest green who would've expected 6 points but got only 1.

It's another game unbeaten, another point gained on the top position and keeps us going. We are clearly becoming hard to beat we just need to take our chances. I fancy us against Luton and Gateshead and we will be in the playoff positions in no time.

The league is tight so it is important to not lose or lose tough with the top spot.

Liverpool are currently in 19th .. Sunderland play them this afternoon. do you think they'll be saying we have to beat these they're in the relegation zone .. no... position means nothing . Kiddy are unbeaten in 4 and were play off contenders in previous seasons. We drew and lost against Kiddy last season (including an away draw where we were woeful and drew 1-1 against 10 men with a lucky elding 92nd minute equiliser) ... we are a much better squad than last season and are not conceding goals. Town should go in for some player around 20 years old, who plays in the reserves, Wycombe signed 19 year old Marcello Trotta from Fulham on loan last season and he banged in 8 goals in 8 games!

I bet their is loads of talented players who would love to play first team football out there, gathering dust in the reserves, even if we get a striker in just for a month it could be a great boost.

Can't really judge the performance today until later in the season. Kiddo might challenge for promotion again.  Seems we played well and kept another clean sheet.  Have only 1 team scored against us in the first 80 mins? You can build on a good defence.

We have an excellent away record over the last year.

We missed chances today.  That is why we bought Liam.

Overall, we are doing well this season.

We except it, but doesn't mean we have to like it, or shouldn't share our opinions on the matter. People question other people's opinions, it's called a DEBATE, on a fans forum I thought that was supose to happen?

Dress it up all you like but we should have won there today and we have now failed to beat Southport, Barrow, Nuneaton and Kiddy, also lost at home to Stockport. That is not promotion form. We let teams off the hook time and time again.

Beating the poorer teams in the league allows you a bit of leeway if you lose to the likes of Luton and Forest Green, which could easily have happened last week. Newport showed how it's done today, winning 3-0 at Barrow, who everyone assured us were a really tough team to beat at home when we drew there, again trying to put a gloss on a poor result.

I'm heartened by our resolute defence and all good sides are built from the back, but we really need someone to put the ball in the net. Hearns season is over in my opinion because even when he is healed, he will be rusty for a good while after a serious injury. We must go out and get a consistent goalscorer soon as, or we will drift in midtable.

We don't have a striker anywhere near bothering the goalscoring charts, while teams like Tamworth, Nuneaton and Woking do. Something wrong there. Needs sorting.
Posted by: Gary Haddock, September 15, 2012, 8:36pm; Reply: 93
We play teams twice in a season, would you be eating your words and admit you're wrong if we was to be promoted? It's still too early to be a defeatist, on average the teams that win this league loose at least 5-6 games, we have only lost 1 so far, so I am optimistic on those grounds. And I am sure the goals will come just like last season, maybe even better than last season.

Wouldn't surprise me, I would if I was manager or player. I'd want to know what our fans think.

Reason I said that is because 20 minutes later, he's on the Radio and totally random out the blue - said "it's alright saying sign some young player from the premiership on loan, but their on at least 5K a week, we can't afford that, and alot of players don't want to drop into the conference."

Freaked me out! haha.  (unsure)

Ah right, he's right though, which is why I haven't jumped on the "bring in some youngster" band wagon. If they are from our league they may not be what we want plus we have Southwell. I think, like someone else mentioned, that we have the fire power, it's just a case of playing the right ones together because at the moment it hasn't worked upfront, maybe need to mix it up abit. I think Scott and Hurst know what they are doing and I have faith in them to turn the goal scoring drout around into a flood of goals just like last season, which is why I try not to criticise.

I don't think they need to read it. Ginnywings knows it, you know it, I, who never sees Grimsby play, knows it; so I'm rather sure H&S know it very well.
I'd imagine they're pleading with Mr Fenty to give them the funds to bring in the striker who could turn a decent season into a great one. Let's hope he is persuaded.
