Being 4 points clear at the top would be very nice. I will really be listening out for the Thomas Devitt combination, think that will make a big difference. Cooky will really be up for it again and I would expect Brodie to feature at some point and he will be chomping at the bit.

Both. He's an anus and Bruce has been treating the competition like the reserve league. Burns and Swanny (a front bottom) have been going on for a while that the cups pointless and the money is in the Premier League.

To be fair the away game at their place last season was probably the best performance of the season (apparently) and it sounds as though, barring a 10 minute spell, we have looked a shadow of that team.

Can see us coming out all guns blazing now though after S&H have a word with them :)

Well we all would have like 3 points but another clean sheet and unbeaten again!

Not a bad point, but not a brilliant point either. Slightly disappointing, but great support from the Town fans yet again!!

A draw is decent but how many more opportunities can we afford to keep letting slip? Another chance to create a little bit of a gap and put the teams just below us under a real bit of pressure missed again!

Don't get me wrong tho a points better than none :)

Take the positives out of today, a good point away from home against an in-form team and another clean sheet.

Would love us to win every game but satisfied with the point.

Fantastic away support again.

Another away point against a reasonable side, another clean sheet, lets take the positives and move on...

2 points dropped IMO. Again when we get a chance to pull away a bit we pass up the opportunity.

Have a feeling we might regret not winning today later in the season.
Posted by: springstomind, January 26, 2013, 4:52pm; Reply: 154
Yep, taking all into consideration having goal offside, hit the bar twice, 1 cleared off the line and many opportunities, a stone wall penalty on Brodie (lmao) denied, then we are unlucky but a point away at Cambridge is not a bad result at all.
Posted by: ginnywings, January 26, 2013, 4:52pm; Reply: 155
If we could be just a little more ruthless in front of goal, we'd urine this league.

Positives are another point, another clean sheet, another game gone and carries on our impressive away form.

We started with 4 changes to the side today and still came away with a draw and clean sheet. Still top and those below are under pressure to catch us. UTFM

I'm a little disappointed with 1 point TBH, we have a strong squad - I know losing Cookie early on was a knock back - and Cambridge had a fair few players out injured. It was a decent time to play them and we didn't seem to take full advantage.

But hey its 14 games without loss.

Lets not re-open that can of worms again eh?

Think it's worth pointing out. Don't mean to re-open the whole debate but if there's a time and a place for the drum it's certainly not when we've got a corner. Would hate to see the tradition of chanting Maaaarrriiinnnneeeerrrsss at corners die out because of a minority who don't show any respect to other fan's opinions.

Time will tell whether today was a good point or not but that's 10 league games unbeaten so can't complain.

I cant believe Luton have beaten Norwich i recall seeing about 60 minutes in they hadnt had a shot on target! Fair play parking the bus containing them and then pouncing bringing on 2 of their star players.

Indeed - it is a game we should be able to enjoy. Luton's heart won't be in it after today!! Lets go at them and score a few goals to knock their confidence!!

Marshall for a hat-rik and Hannah to get 2 hahahah

Despite the recent drawn matches, we're still joint second in the form guide, just ahead of Cambridge:

Not too bad considering we've not been playing that well recently.

I reckon Luton's cup run will finish off their league push too.

This was Town's SIXTH 0-0 draw of the season (fifth in the league).

I wonder when the last time it was that Town played out so many goalless draws in one season?

I'm particularly happy with our defensive record this year - so while we might not be the division's top scorers we're certainly keeping them out at the other end (hence just four league defeats all season).

EDIT - I've just checked and we actually drew 0-0 six times last season (four in the league).

A decent performance. Devitt almost scored an amazing goal.

Brodie was off side so it wasn't wrongly rules out. If one team was going to win in my opinion it was town.

A point away from home and another clean sheet is always a decent result in my eyes. We stay top and we haven't lost...only four all season so far isn't bad is it?

If this is our bad spell then we've done alright...

We also had 6 0-0s when we got relegated out the league, including 4 in a row away just after Woods took over. Funny things, draws!

According to RH 699 Town fans there which is a fantastic effort.
For what its worth i think we still haven't addressed the lack of an offensive centre mid player,  we can sign any amount of forwards and wide players and  indeed its true Disley and Niven do a job for our back four, hence our goals against record, but are nowhere near as effective for our forwards IMO. What have they scored between them this season - less than 6? I believe  we need a return of  vital goals from centre mid.

I'm trying not to be disappointed.

Just heard Paul H. on R.H. - he sounded quite upbeat and wouldn't take any negatives from Scott Thingy.  Said it was a better performance than other recent performances.

I don't really care about Tuesday and Luton and the FA Trophy.  I'm just greedy for points and desperate for us to make it out of this league.  Really hope we don't pick up any injuries on Tues as there may be a bit of needle involved.  Luton have got a bigger squad than us, I suppose.  They will need it with all their extra games.

Sorry, this thread is a bit negative.  Just getting it out of my system.

On another day we'd have won 4-0. I still think we were the only team likely to win. We have to take the positives. Had we come away and not created any chances etc i'd be worried and critical but we did everything but score. We never really looked under any threat and we still look very good going forward.

Tuesday is an opportunity for us to keep the momentum going. I'm not arsed about the result but i believe we should try and win every game and in honesty so does he squad and the gaffers. Luton can have their cup run in te FA cup, it'll bring a few quid in for them to pay more over inflated wages for players but come May they'll have intercourse all to show for a cup run apart from another season in non league...
