Agree with that to be honest.
Cook and Thomas look knackered.
& Marshall and Brodie haven't done alot last few weeks.
Artus can feel hard done by, but Disley an Naylor are streets are head.

Indeed, Devitt plays. I hope LJL and Colbeck show vastly improved performance levels. Good to see Disley and Pearson back. No Hearn on bench.

No we don't.

IMO our strongest one bar Niven.

Mckeown
Hatton
Pearson
Miller
Thomas
Devitt
Disley
Naylor
Marshall
Cook
Hannah

The exact team who turned out our best performance in months against Mansfield. Tinkering the team is something that has cost us so much this second half, each game means a host of changes. What side do you know win things with constant rotation?

For the record, the guy just on the radio from the Chronicle spoke the most sense i've heard on RH all season.

Hearn only came in on Sat because Hannah failed a fitness test, no surprise he isn't in tonight. They said he wouldn't be involved till after a reserve game this week, their hands were forced for Saturday due to injuries.

Be surprised if he is on the bench on sunday if the other strikers are all fit.

Yes but it would be nice to win

With john lewis i dont mind because whenever he has played it has been with similar players too himself and Hannah will be his perfect partner

I don't care if John Lewis has a blinder tonight, if Hearn is fit for Sunday I'd pick him.

Odd cHoices tonight but who knows, it could work. If it doesn't though there would rightly deserve to be an uproar...

If fenty were to get rid of them it would show just how dumb he really is. Although the mangers ideas of squad rotation aren't great, players still have to put a shift in and against kiddy, Cambridge and so far tonight that seems a long way off. Surely some of them are to blame too?

For smeg's sake. What is going on with us?! Great opportunity tonight and, as with our big crowd at home syndrome, we've ballsed it up.

Give Disley a rest for the second half, he is obviously not fit or doesn't want to throw himself into tackles as usual.

This season feels like 05/06 all over again. Going great guns until the new year and then performances dropped and results got steadily worse (although I don't think we lost four on the trot at any point).

Do we over-work them in pre-season? Do we burn them out in the first half of the season? It's a weird one to work out because some teams are slow starters and then in the new year they get it together and storm into a top position.

Yes i am he moved the play fast drew defenders and gave hannah space he switched play very well and yes i agree he has not pulled any trees up at luton but he did for us. As you are rite it was about money with him but it does not change the fact we have not looked the same team without him

Squad rotation is what's wrong here. Too many changes week in week out. Even jt on the radio said to many changes, the player's don't know there jobs anymore. Also playing people who are clearly not fit like the skipper. Why not put the young lad from hull in center mid tonight, but no, he's not even in the squad for the game. Think s+h have lost the plot a bit in trying to get things going again. UTM

Not sure I agree with that, we still have the best defence in the league, however we arn't scoring goals, we have scored 14 goals in 13 games (including tonights so far) and 7 of those came in two games. So thats 7 goals in 11 games, not sure how Pond makes a difference to our strikers.

Hannah has failed to score since he signed and so has LJL, Brodie hasn't done much either. Plus our midfield is not creating anything especially the wingers who can't cross a ball to save their lives.

These bad patches are when Managers earn there crust. S&H seem to be struggling as much as the team to make the right decisions. Once we started rotating the team with the likes of John Lewis who is a poor footballer in anybody's eyes we have lost all essence of a being a team. We have lost all momentum and to me that is completely down to this chopping and changing.

He's dug up a few trees by scoring snce he signed, which is more than either Hannah or LJL have done since signing.

Get this bloody "being hit on the break" sorted out.  We have been hit god knows how many times by teams this season, it makes it worse when its by a team that train twice a week.

in 98 when we got to Wembley we won 2 of the final 11 games, in 08 when we got to wembley we won 2 of the final 11 games, in 13 when we reached wembley so far we have won 2 of the final 15 games.

dear oh dear oh dear o dear.   Whats happened, lacking in quality, lacking in passion, lacking in ability.  On our books we have 3 talented players at this level on the wings who cannot cross a ball right now, plenty of strikers who havent scored a goal between them for approx 6 games now, we have lost the engine room to injuries and the defence have lost their confidence that comes with clean sheets.

we really dont seem to have a plan B right now and by the looks of it just about everyone has sussed out our Plan A.
this my first downbeat comment for a very long time, but i feel extremely deflated.  i can handel losing, thats not the issue and no i am not expecting too much from the team but come on lads your better than this surely,   maybe that long unbeaten run completely flattered us.

I've seen Disley flying into tackles all season yet can't do it 5 days before the final!!! Absolutely shocking!!!!

The money will probably help us have a decent budget for next year to get back in the league because we certainly ain't going up this year with gutless performances like tonight!

If I was to put a shift in like that at work I'd be out of a job. Annoyed again tonite and really hope that we have a team that will turn up on Sunday.  If I'm honest there are some who have played in the last few games that I wouldn't pick on Sunday and the ones that I would pick I would not be telling until about 1:15pm on Sunday.

They need a massive kick up the bottom and need to realise that they are lucky to be playing for our team.  If they think they can just turn up and go through the motions - they are wrong.  The supporters pay good money to support the team and do not have to put up with this type of performance.

The season isn't over, but if we don't wake up then it will be.

Come on town, this is just a blip and we can/will got over it.  We are still in the play-offs and have a lot to play for.  UTM

We were excrement. End of. No need for a debate. It needs to change, and quickly.

LJL was bottom, Colbeck can't control a ball properly, Disley clearly unfit, Pearson clearly unfit, Devitt (usually my fave player) was terrible, Naylor cant pass a ball, Miller didnt win a thing, McKeown looked dodgy for the first time all season, Hannah lost his touch, Cook didnt do anything since coming on, hatton couldnt cross, good lacked pace, aggression (usually there) and anything really.

We were beaten by the better team tonight (part time who train 4 hours a week), looked like complete strangers and never ever ever looked like scoring

Quote of the night at 66 mins in

Matt Dean "We could play until midnight and wouldnt score"

A very big shame.

Absolutely flipping awful. Nobody comes out of that with any credit.

Don't use getting to Wembley as an excuse. Getting to Wembley doesn't turn an entire team into complete excrement.

Hatton, Wood, Hannah, Coulbeck, Marshall, John Lewis, simply not good enough, none of those twits deserve to be at Wembley on Sunday, let alone on the pitch

Shame Naylor isn't eligible for Sunday - he's the only one who comes out of tonight with any credit - certainly the only one whoseemed to care

So when can we talk about it? After 5, 6, 7 defeats? Ever?

If we miss out on the playoffs which could now happen, It would be a massive failure this season, Just hope this loss tonight gives the players the kick up the bottom they need. :-/

Yeah we have to play Macclesfield aswell worry about Jack mackreth can play both wings and would boss both Hatton and Wood at RB and maybe trouble Aswad Thomas aswell. We play in the second game of 5 games in 12 days in April.

Thats stupid, you may aswell say had we been 10 points clear and storming to the finish, but we're not, and we've lost 4 games in a row, people are gonna moan, and discuss the reasons where its going wrong, thats how the world works

I really don't want to hear the crap Hurst will come out with tonight. Radio off. Hopeless but it's been on the cards. S & H are a one trick pony and everyone has sussed it. They are clueless. Boor off S& H!

It does when if thats all there fixated with.there not premier league players so playing at wembley, instead of 950 fans at nuneaton ,big difference.they might not do that again in there career. Next year play the youth team,if still in this poor league.

Macclesfield away at Mansfield saturday if they beat Mansfield then its down to 3 points then things would start to get scary. S&H are the best managers we had in a while but Harry Redknapp got sacked by Tottenham because they diden't win the league, you loose at Blackburn and you get sacked these days so i worry at the end of the season if Fenty pushes the panic button.

I just hope he admits that he and Scott have got it wrong and takes it on the chin.

Before Xmas we played fast attacking football that punished teams . Since Xmas it's been slow , boot it predictable stuff , real non league stuff . Why ? Losing 2 quality players in neilson and pond and signing players who havnt delivered like devitt and LJL .

And replace them with who? Mickey Mellon? Gary Mills? Knowing Fenty he'd appoint Reg Holdsworth!

What's happened to Richard Brodie is he injured got a knock because it was all Brodie and Cook now he's out of the picture. And what's Frankie Artus done has he had affair with Scott or Hurst's wife lol, i know he's been injured but he never even made the bench for weeks then gets thrown in at the deep end then dropped again Disley isn't fit so throw Artus in to keep his fitness the guy hasen't hardly played since November so he can play back to back games.

We can start with having a 29 goal scorer when fully fit. Bin shop and 37 goal scorer Brodie, who offers little. Develop  Cook and Hannah.  Get rid of wingers who cannot cross well consistently or even beat a fullback.

Have a strong CM and good cover.

Train as part-timers do. (said tongue in cheek).  Works very well for Nuneaton and other teams. Even Salisbury were a division and beat us in ET after we took the lead in ET.

Get more players in who are physically strong enough for this league and the poor pitches.  Like Kidderminster can still pass well and last for 90 mins.

Stick with a winning team. And concentrate on the league.  Like Kidderminster again.

Devitt worries me. He's an honest player, and I wonder how affected he was by that illness a few weeks back. I remember Tondeur commenting on his first game back saying he looked even skinnier than usual, which was worrying. He's a shadow, literally, of his former self and maybe needs some extra care and attention in rebuilding his fitness. Colbeck won man of the match a few matches back and has been shite/inconsistent ever since and there's no excuses that I can see. Which sums up most of the team right now, they should have been playing for a Wembley shirt tonight and yet they manage the worst performance of the season. Inexplicable.

That's the point i'm making i don't won't them sacked but Fenty might push the panic button. But if had to pick if Fenty did the crazy and sacked S&H i would go for Mark Cooper new assistant manager at Swindon would easily drop back into this league as a manager or maybe Gary Brabin.

But i still rate S&H but you never know with Fenty he might go cheap and make it Buckley 4 lol.

i think you have to look at it this way,, they are non league players because thats all they are , and we are a  non league club,  cant blame fenty for this , he has backed the managers all the way most out of his own pocket .

Well what a game of football! best home performance of the season from Boro. Well apart from the result for you guys hope you enjoyed your stay in Nuneaton, be interesting to see what you think about our town plus the pubs you visited pre match.

Watching that performance I think Grimsby have got alot of work to do before Sunday, we played Wrexham back in December and we lost 1-6 and we wern't that bad, so best of luck on Sunday! We don't want another welsh club getting there hands on our trophy.

Just want to credit you for your fantastic support tonight 264 isn't bad for a midweek fixture, just a shame this wasn't a weekend fixture as it probably would have doubled. Well best of luck at Wembley, also best of luck to the rest of the season, though I wanna see you again next season.

Hurst's comments sound worryingly like those we heard at various times last season after some dreadful performances when half the team was different.

Even a few weeks ago you simply couldn't have anticipated we would go on such a terrible run of form. We certainly weren't playing all that well, but we still looked solid at the back, compact in midfield and were grinding out results. For that to disappear suddenly is baffling, to tell the truth.

The managers aren't liked by many of the fans but I think a lot of the stick they are getting for this bad run ignores the fact that it is the players themselves whose performances have dropped horribly, particularly the forwards and the wingers. The criticism for team changes such as dropping Thomas for Wood may be good in hindsight, but Thomas was very poor on Saturday, looking knackered and Wood had a very good game at left-back last time I saw him play there. Cook has been in poor form of late as well so trying LJL is perhaps understandable. Just a pity he doesn't look up to much. The new Damien Spencer on what we've seen so far.

For me, I think that the fact performances have deteriorated so badly in the lead up to the 'big' Wembley game says rather more about the character of the players than anything else. A poor performance in the week immediately before the game is typical for many teams, but surely not when keeping in the promotion race is so vitally important after such a poor run?

Regardless of what happens on Sunday (which I don't expect to be very enjoyable for Town fans), I'm more worried that I can't see the players getting back to doing what they managed so well for much of the season - grinding out results.

That's the worry for me - it is his and Scott's job to organise, inspire and motivate the team - they're not doing it.  They don't seem to know what to do. Wembley is always going to be a massive distraction - no matter what anyone says.  Tonight Disley, Pearson, Cook, Thomas and McKeown should all have been rested for Sunday.  Artus, Thanoj, Wilson, Southwell and Fleming couldn't have done any worse!

Wembley is going to be a pretty horrible day out if we play like we have been doing. Will we be the first team that gets booed by their own fans at Wembley (excluding England)? I wouldn't bet against it at the minute.

I still stand by that after Sunday we will improve if by magic. What does annoy me is that these managers have said you get picked on your performances in games and training yet we know that players who've been poor the last few games will get a game...

Injuries to key players in midfield probably a factor !
Even key defenders are carrying knocks.
