Must be dull...

RH have discussed the solar heating on the local houses, last night's England game, George Kerr's watch (not working (stuck at 10 past 10) and Dave Moore's rubber gloves (blue)...  and they were the highlights!

Because he is way too cautious and worries about the opposition rather than letting them worry about us.

We now have Jones off and Rodman on which means back to 4-3-3

George Kerr has summed it up. No creativity in midfield, which is pretty much how it has been for the last few seasons.

My view having seen a lot of the home games is that McLaughlin and Kerr are wy too slow yet they are first choices. I am usually very tolerant with managers but Hurst is getting close for me. Does not have a lot if presence he same as his team. Anything less than a win next week and I would get rid. There are some good players here but a terrible lack of pace and energy in the middle. Way too many holding players. Sort it hurst or time to go. UTM

Same as tuesday really only got going once we went behind. Not looking like a top five side too inconsistent basically just not good enough. We must have the two worst right backs in this leage.

After fifty years supporting town the depression of the last ten years is kicking in big time this season and I cannot get up for attending any more matches at the minute. Hats off to the die hards who never miss but my spirit is broken for now.

The lack of support will be the killer. I am a season ticket holder and will remain one in the future but when we are not competitive at this level it gets harder to go and the crowds will plummet. Hurst plays way too cautiously and I have enjoyed very few games this season. Hurst needs to find some magic soon or the ground will be empty utm

I see that Gateshead won again, they appointed a good Manager in Gary Mills and the results have followed, they are steadily climbing the league, think we missed an opportunity when he was available - i fully expect Gateshead to be around the play offs this season, Mills has been there and done it.
Sadly i cannot say the same for us, there are just too many games when we d'ont score, its OK scoring 5 then 3
when that many aren't needed, its when you desperately need a goal that we constantly fail.

That's how i feel. Will have to have a massive change of heart to be there next week.

Hurst saying the game was there for the taking but the players didn't sense that. Says we should have had thegame wrapped up by 60 mins and the best one of all was that players were not wearing the right studs for the conditions.

flipping laughable.

Town fans never got on with Scott (who really was the man in charge),because of his manner, leadership and team results, so he`s gone. No loss there tbh.

Hurst is now in charge, and although the team haven`t played to expectations, fans now want HIM to go.  (wallbash2)

Give him a bit more time, and let`s make a firm decision end December.

Even with a new manager, we can`t be certain that he`ll get us promoted at the end of the season.

Also that's five defeats in 15 games and three 1-0 losses out of that total

From having one of the best defences in the league last season we're nowhere close to it now imho

Why would he mention that players had wrong length studs in? Does he not realise how bad that reflects on the management and professionalism of the club. Agree with another post re Gary Mills, however, if he has ambition he should be able to achieve a lot more at a club our size then Gateshead providing we are a) willing to appoint him on appropriate salary and b) approach Gateshead in the correct manner not through the back door.

Still I cannot see Fenty making any change this season so Autumn rugby internationals for me. God football makes you feel miserable

Can't. Really argue with the changes. Lennie injured, Neilson did not do anything in the last game and Colbeck provides better defensive cover for an away game. Pleased to see Jones in midfield as he is different to the other 3 and good to give Dis a rest.

When I mentioned Mills a few weeks back, just after the Scott incident broke, a couple of eyebrows were raised as Gateshead hadn't got going under Mills. He's turning them around though, whereas Hurst is slowly doing the same here in reverse, turning us back 3-4 years. It's like the last 3 years have never happened, Woods part 2, lacklustre manager with strange player choices, slow starts, a merry go round of midfielders who are always put to shame by hard working part time opposition,  fans wondering if the new crop (Ritchie Jones, Kerr etc) are finally the real thing or the latest bunch of journeymen.

The 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 myth done away with (2 games no goals) , play in front of a packed BP and it makes the team nervous, play in front of 1,300 at Salisbury and it's no better.
When will it end.

Nielson is probably our most effective player. One bad game doesn't warrant him being dropped. Yet again Hursts excrement decisions have cost us a game.

Hurst deserves more time to get it right , maybe a jan transfer window . However his position may become untenable if results don't improve because of his links with Rob Scott . I don't think the players signed in the summer have improved us , except neilson , and can't help thinking that Scott's reputation may have had something to do with it
