Who will England get in the draw at 4pm?

Pot 1 (top eight seeds): Brazil, Spain, Argentina, Belgium, Colombia, Germany, Switzerland, Uruguay.
Pot 2: Ivory Coast, Ghana, Algeria, Nigeria, Cameroon, Chile, Ecuador.
Pot 3: Japan, Iran, South Korea, Australia, United States, Mexico, Costa Rica, Honduras.
Pot 4: Bosnia-Hercegovina, Croatia, England, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, France.

One Pot 4 team to be drawn at random and added to Pot 2

I predict:

Argentina
Chile
United States
England

I don't think it really matters and don't see the point in guessing. Don't see ant scenario that would be easy and almost think I'd rather draw some of the bigger boys for some more exciting matches.

just want games that will entertain, no preference who we get

No point in getting a weak-ish group like in 2010. Limping through in 3 utterly forgettable group games before being spanked by a proper team would be shite. Would much rather have 3 good, well fought games and see what happens.

Good luck with that Rob. Chile cannot be drawn into the same group as Argentina.

Well maybe the programme starts at 4 but knowing how FIFA like to drag these things out it'll probably be finished sometime around midnight.

Could have been better but also could have been a lot worse, the Italians are beatable as are the other 2, think it is a fairly even group with any 2 of the 4 going through

Don't you wish we could swap places with Austrailia lol. (Confused)

We can go through as long as we overcome the 99% humidity, the 3,300 miles travelling to one game alone, the location of our most humiliating defeat - and that out of form goal-scorer.............. Suarez.

I can see us winning  1   drawing 1  and losing 1,

We go through on goal difference with Italy going home,

Win the next round.

Lose on pens in quarter final. ;)

Immediate reaction when i watched the draw, sh1t thats a tough ask, now i have had more time to think of it i think , sh1t thats a tough ask lol.  We need to play sensily to the conditions but a slower paced game will just play straight into the hands of the uruguayans and the italians, 99% humidy will probably mean the players losing approx 4-5 lbs in weight during the game, they will be so knackered. BUt good luck anyway , just wish we had switzrlands group thats all.

I'd be impressed if he could get within 5 yards of him!

I think it's a great draw. It's tough but definitely possible to get through and there's potential for a couple of cracking, memorable matches. In 2010 we had an easy group and it was utterly forgettable. We can't win the thing so we may as well have some exciting games while we're there.

Yes you 're right .the main priority will be for England to keep possession and not give the ball away................oh dear :

I reckon Italy will definitely finish top of the group, Prandelli has done a good job with them despite all the goings-on behind the scenes in Italian football, and Giuseppe Rossi is back so they now have a (more consistent) alternative to Balotelli.

Not sure about the others, but I can see Uruguay scraping through because of Suarez and Cavani who look unstoppable going forward but shaky at the back, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Costa Rica finish above England on goal difference or something, because there simply isn't enough flair in the team (although some direct football might bag a win against Costa Rica, meaning England would finish above them on the head to head record, who knows!).

I  think this is a horror draw for England. We never seem to do well against Italy and if Suarez is still (I know, it is a long way off and lots can change) in the form he is now, struggle to see us getting much out of them either. Know nothing about Costa Rica accept that Central American sides seldom do well.

Isn't it Italy first in the Amazon? Maybe the heat and humidity will be a leveller there. Get something from that you never know.

My adopted nation (though not in a sporting sense) have a tough draw too (calling it the Group Of Death down here) and I don't think they have any chance at all of progressing. Seems a real imbalance in the groups with B,C, D & G looking so much tougher than the rest.

Group C- Uruguay
            - Nigeria
            - Costa Rica
            - England

Tough draw but if we beat Costa coffee and draw against Italy and Uruguay that should be enough.
However being England we will probably lose to Italy and Uruguay and struggle to a draw against Costa rica

Spent a very good easter saturday in Costa rica a few years ago
