Posted by: immariner, February 8, 2014, 4:52pm; Reply: 88
It doesn't matter how well their keeper has played, the shots still have to be close enough to him for him to make a save.

Teams know statistically that they have a better chance of at least getting a point here than losing, that's poor. If away form doesn't hold up we could easily slip back.

Very very poor. It's the display more than the result that brings up so many questions. Neilsons spluttering form, Hannahs frustrating play, our dopey opening 20 minutes to EVERY game, our lack of plan B and options on the bench. I really fear we will limp into the play offs once again, unable to put teams to the sword in crunch games.

Not sure most on here realise how bad that wind was. If it was just blowing down then pitch OK but it was swirling the ball all over the place. Extremely difficult for players from both sides.
Probably just about shaded it, but thought a draw wassa fair result.

Think I am more positive than most about the play offs. We seem to do a lot better against teams that make a game of it.

The two legs coming up against Cambridge should be a good guide to our play off chances, which I am very confident we will be involved in.
Posted by: Badger57, February 8, 2014, 6:07pm; Reply: 98
No chance of the title but was never going to happen, we are simply not good enough. End of.
Home form is roughly equivalent of most mid table teams. Only our away form, where we can hit teams on the break rather than knock down a brick wall is our saving grace.

Attention seeking weirdo.  You know who I mean.  (Not you, badger).  Makes me wonder why we used to think he was so good.

Couldn't really control the ball in those conditions - both teams pretty much cancelled each other out, but we ran out of time towards the end, when they were wasting as much time as possible, so I suppose we must have been dominating.

Not sure if anyone had a particularly good game, but I don't think anyone was shocking either.  Crowd was disappointing - support only really got going well into the second half, when everyone was getting a bit desperate.

Bit harsh on the support, think in the second half we in the pontoon really cheered the team on and dragged a few good chances out of the team when nothing was really happening on the pitch.

Agree with StiggsGTFC though, the wind was really bad and affected the game but we are all a bit too doom and gloom on here, we often lift ourselves for the big games ala Cambridge and so playoffs we have every chance!  Lets get behind us and not let a few poor results ruin the good feeling that had been developing over this season!

I quite enjoyed booing Brodie, yesterday.  In fact it was probably one of the highlights for me.  Unfortunately, I suspect he was quite enjoying it, too.   :o

Don't mean to be harsh on the fans Caesar, as I know we've been through enough, but still a bit disappointed in the support during the first half - a bit feeble for a promotion chasing side, I thought.

Yes ,I will go along with all that. It seems that to many are ready to criticize when things arn't going to well,as we all witnessed yesterday. At BP we never seem to acknowledge good play but as shown yesterday when Big Mac miss placed a pass everyone was moaning but when he does those wonderful crossfield passes there is very little appreciation heard. Lets get behind OUR team and push them all the way to the playoffs.I think to many people are watching Premiership matches on the box and expect OUR team to play that standard of football but thats not going to happen. I for one enjoy watching Town, home and very often away and will be very happy to support them which ever league we are in.
