For those who thought that Gateshead, Wrexham and Southport were meaningless. If we had won all three we would now be sitting top of the league.
If we had just beaten Gateshead and Southport we would still be in with a chance of the league.
How much revenue have we lost with the gates against Wrexham and Aldershot. Several thousands of pounds I would imagine.

And if Bristol and Barnet had won the games where they dropped points we'd be back to third, or fourth or maybe if Nuneaton had won all their games they'd be champions! Meaningless thread!

If my auntie had a member she'd be my uncle.

I did not think the Gateshead was meaningless,

AND

I am certain the Wrexham game was not meaningless because I travelled up from Suffolk to watch that match,

After the game I thought a lot of things about that game,

BUT

Meaningless was not one of them.

I got the impression some did by the attendance, a lot of regulars near me were missing.

I assume some could have done with missing a game for financial reasons given that we have 2 (hopefully 3 more).

It's a shame, but a sign of the times.

I suspect the fact it was Easter Saturday might have had something to do with people missing...

I don't think Gateshead was meaningless and probably not Wrexham either.

Southport was meaningless, and so is Aldershot. Simply because we already messed up our chances of automatic promotion and you can pick and choose as much as you want, about which game(s) it was that costed us the shot at the tittle.

But, we're in the play off's and that is our main focus now. I'll be surprised if there's more than 5,000 on Saturday, unfortunately. But I am still optimistic about our chances in the play off's.

Onwards and upwards. UTM
