How about new left sided defender no.12, new centre midfielder number 15 and a 4th striker number 19. Then squad done :-)

I hate squad numbers - wish they'd go back to 1-11 and subs. Another premier league nonsense we could do without

The dreaded number 9 is back! Didn't have one last season after a number of failures in the shirt. Hope Omar can put it to bed.

Disagree. Do you really want the days back where you had to write on the programme who was who? OK most of your own team you get to recognise  but there is such a massive turnover of players these days even recognosing your own players takes a while when there are a few new faces. Then the opposition, just being able to pick up the programme and everyone be listed is very useful.

I could see one more maybe but 3 more sorry not a chance. p Paul likes a small squad, 23 players is no small squad

Yes I do want to go back to those days - asking the guy next to you - "Who's our number 8?" is sociable and nice. Secondly it was a nice tradition, in the way I like that at Wimbledon they all wear white.

It would leave us with 20 pros. The other 3 would be bastock, sunter and venney. Three kids that not likely to make an appearance between them unless we draw a minnow in the trophy. 20 sounds a nice round number to me  :)

Haha yeah, that (on the face of it, bonkers) thought had crossed my mind too!

(off the top of my head the last good one was Reddy)

If they have copied it they should make a donation to the fund for it.

Those two wouldn't make a footballer between them. All brawn, no brain.
