I can't believe people were actually deluded enough to think by beating what was probably the worst team to visit BP in recent memory 7-0 we were now all of a sudden going to Storm the league or something!
Nothing will change whilst Hurst remains, average team in a very poor non league.

Wouldnt of been happy at the start of the game with 1 point but the way the game was going we could of easily lost that 1-0..so take into context cheltenham didnt win and fgr lost and we gained a point on them i think a draw is acceptable.

FGR on a ludicrous run of form. 27 points from the first 9. 8 from the second 9. Yet still top. Bonkers.

Well I have to say that I was expecting a banana skin today. We were outmuscled by Torquay at home earlier in the season and it is a long way away from home for our team and supporters to travel. We ought to have beaten them today but you cannot account for several attempts being cleared off the line. Sometimes all your shots go in like last week, sometimes they don't. Our team NEVER give up and that is a great trait!
Other teams dropped points. This league is becoming tighter and tighter and we seem to be in a great position as far as I can tell. We are entering the cold season soon and this will be the real test. I believe we will prosper during that time.
We are proving a very difficult team to beat. There is a great chance of promotion here... and even greater if we can get a cheeky victory over Cheltenham on 30th October to keep this run going.
I am in confident mood tonight!

No point going top yet. You're there to be shot at if you are.

We'll sit just below the pace and then hit them with a ten game winning streak at the end of the season so that we go to Tranmere already Champions.  ;D

A pity we couldn't get the victory today, but keeping the unbeaten run going is handy, especially after going behind.

Will be interesting to hear what those at the game thought but the match stats indicate that we had plenty of efforts on target so perhaps should have scored more than one?

Yeah know what you mean meza, but to many draws for my liking  :-/

Yeah i know acko, had we been in front i would say 2 points drop but getting an equaliser we have to be grateful.  I wasn't there so waiting for the just back tread to give me some insights into todays game.  Hagrid said we dominated the first half, so maybe it was just one of those days.  A win against Cheltenham and the table may look a little better, shame about the dover result.

"We'll never catch up 12 points on Forest Green !!" - ah, well, we're down to 5 points behind them, and it could have been 3 today if results had gone our way !

Listening in seemed like 11 against 12 and should have been 10 with their goalie being sent off.

Didn't happen so let's get over it - point gained, long hard trip, move on !!

Well i think a point away is a decent result and i suppose it keeps the unbeaten run going.

Shame we couldnt get a win today especially at a team struggling but i will take a point...

It keeps us in the hunt and im looking at it as a positive tonight.

A point away and the unbeaten run continues.......and more importantly though 5 points behind FGR we are in the mix with a good goal difference.........This surely feels better than when we where sitting 10th?

Said it all along it's 2 from 4 the 4 being us FGR, Tranmere and Cheltenham. Not sure I could do another play off though. A week Friday is really important as if we win that we can be considered proper contenders.

Just need to do something we have yet been able to do - put a winning run together.

Great thread this. Im a simplistic soul but will never understand how last weeks draw was perceived as poor but this week its good.
Football eh?!?! Bloody Hell.

Would you rather people say "bloody rubbish Town. Not good enough." I thought negativity was verboten.

Actually I'd rather people shared my view that a point away regardless is a good point. It intrigues me that the Fishinista can deem a point against a team on a par with us position wise as a bad result but one against a team way down the league is a satisfactory/good one. Care to comment?

Really struggle to understand why after every game we have to go through  sack PH etc 4 points every 2 games will see us on top but if football was easy to predict bookies would make no money, surprisingly the other team also wants to win.

Bid game a week Friday win that and we are trolly moving forward, lets just back them for now & start moaning if in two months we have no chance of top spot.

Tossers!

All stewards should be like the ones at Borehamwood this season, kept things safe, engaged professionally with the fans and made sure that everyone enjoyed the day.

I would drop a line to our club I am sure they will sort your lad out with something decent................. If any Trust Officials read this could they help?

I suppose there's a sense of relief at coming back from a goal down. And we clawed a little bit of ground back on the leaders, unlike the draw we played out with the leaders (a draw favouring them as it preserved their lead and ran down another game.

So yeah, I can understand why people would see today's draw in a more positive light.

I cannot comment on the performance as that was the first game of the season I have missed.

As to whether it was a good result, of the bottom 6 teams we have failed to beat 4 of them so far and one of those we have failed to beat twice.
