Signed for York today. Fee to be agreed. The 21 year old got 19 goals last season. Although I was not impressed with him against us.

This signing is good news for us. Takes him away from the BSP for playing against us and he has not signed for a main rival.

Just a thought...

Our budget is as tight as ever and looking to lower league teams is one of the best options for finding a great player.

This summer many of us are going to be lusting after football and no doubt, pre season, will be attending a few friendlies that don't involve the Mariners. Could there be a way of Scott and Hurst (or a pro scout) putting together a simple framework for fans to fill out on any friendlies or games they attend which would give an indication on possible players we need to look out for.

Im sure there would be a lot of fans willing to get involved (probably quite a few time wasters as well) but there must be a wealth of talent about in these lower leagues (look at how many players seem to have come from them recently) and any club will struggle to find them on such small budgets.

This could be continued into the season - and taking it even further, these 'supporter scouts' could be rated on reliability, so less time is wasted.

As I say just a thought...
