The Fishy - Grimsby Town FC

Question of the Week

Where will Grimsby be next season?

Can Groves Survive?

THE Mariners were given a lesson tonight by Sheffield United when they went down 4-1 in front of a 6,897 crowd boosted by Sheffield's travelling fans.

Windass started the scoring in the 12th minute followed by Kabba on 25 minutes. 7 minutes later Robert Kozluk made it 0-3 but Campbell pulled one back 2 minutes later.

The final blow came in the 86th minute when Michael Brown slotted home.

A poor performance by Town in the first half but were playing better in the second according to the commentators.

The question must be; Can Paul Groves survive as the Grimsby manager or will he leave or be pushed?

Town's situation is critical, not just serious, and division two is staring us in the face. The answer to our problems lies somewhere but, unfortunately, not in the hands of Mr Groves it seems.

On the other hand, it may be too late to make changes now, so a wait and see policy may prevail.
