Question of the Week

Where will Grimsby be next season?

Boulding Holding The Aces!

MICK Boulding may well upset the apple cart regarding his proposed move to Barnsley if he decides to stay with the Mariners until the summer.

The Grimsby Telegraph said today that Boulding is in no rush to leave and could wait until his contract runs out in the summer before making a decision even though Barnsley manager Gudjon Thordarson has claimed that he will sign the Mariners' top scorer by the end of the week having been told by a third party in Sheffield that Boulding wants to leave.

One thing is quite clear and that is that Boulding holds all the aces. The Town board are powerless to stop Boulding going because of the 'get out' clause in his contract.

So only Boulding can stop the move. The club claim that Boulding doesn't want to go. If that is so it will be confirmed within the next 48 hours or Boulding will be going to Barnsley.

But Boulding is a certainty to go unless he makes a definitive statement very soon. So far, none of the statements made have been from Boulding himself.

That in itself may be the clue to what happens!
