BAWC: About Us
By: BAWC
Date: 15/12/2007
On October 8th 2006 – as Hereford United came to Town – The Black and White Corner released its first issue following a blaze of no publicity. The fanzine, which included exclusive interviews with then-manager Graham Rodger and chairman John Fenty.
Despite poor sales BAWC recruited a better quality sales team and every copy of BAWC’s second issue flew off the shelf with the issue playing host to Russell Slade’s first interview since leaving Town in the summer.
Since then BAWC has released eight more issues with many fans stating that the fanzine’s ability to produce a big name interview, or two, each month as one of it’s best attributes. Since it’s launch BAWC has interviewed greats such as Stuart Brace, Jack Lewis, Matt Tees, Dave Moore, John Moore, Tony Ford, Kevin Donovan, George Kerr, John Cockerill, Paul Wilkinson, Dave Gilbert and Paul Futcher to name a few. Not a bad team, eh?
