Management Duo Appointed

ROB Scott and Paul Hurst have been unveiled as the new Grimsby Town management duo after leaving Boston United yesterday. The joint managers are both in their mid-thirties and have been in charge at Boston and before that Ilkeston, where they won promotion to the Conference North. Boston are currently in a play-off place in the same division and are just two points behind leaders AFC Telford.

Although the pair were not first choice for the Town hot seat they fit the board's criteria of someone moving up in their career and with experience of the Conference, albeit not the main division which Town find themselves in.

The pair have been given a contract until the end of next season, after which it will become a rolling contract.

Their appointment means Dave Moore will presumably revert to his original job of physio and Robbie Stockdale will resume his duties of Youth Team Coach,
