Grimsby v Stockport Team News

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 29/11/2011

TOWN look to extend their unbeaten run to seven matches against Stockport at Blundell Park tonight, a team they have only beaten once in the last six home games with the Hatters.

With injured pair Darran Kempson and Serge Makofo (both ankle) still out of action, the managerial duo are not likely to make many changes from the side that won away in the match against Kettering on Saturday. The only doubts are midfielders Craig Disley (dead leg) and Manny Panther (back), but they are expected to come through in time to face County. That means loanees Will Antwi and Luke McCarthy are likely to make their home debuts, after solid first games at the weekend.

Former Stockport County manager Jim Gannon has recently returned to Edgeley Park for a second spell in charge. Ex-manager Dietmar Hamann resigned after a takeover of the club fell through. The club sit just above the relegation places, and face the prospect of relegation for the third year running, something even Town have not managed.

Gannon is likely to make some changes after a poor display against Southport in Saturday's home game which he described as "embarrassing".
