Braintree v Grimsby Team News

TOWN are to stick with the side that easily beat Dartford when they visit Braintree tonight, a ground they have never won or even scored at. Town famously lost 5-0 on their first visit to Braintree and a year later they lost 2-0.

In last year's game Town played a second string side as they had already qualified for the play-offs, and the two teams played out a tame 0-0 draw.

Town though now are in fine form and have won four games on the spin, or five if you include the Lincolnshire Cup victory. There has never been a better time to break their hoodoo at Braintree, as the home side have won just one of the last 10 games.

Braintree boss Alan Devonshire is to make changes to the side which drew with Woking at the weekend. Matt Paine, Sean Marks and Charlie Strutton are all expected to return for the Essex side after injuries and suspensions.
