Question of the Week

Where will Grimsby be next season?

Amond: Recall?
Amond: Recall?

Woking v Grimsby Team News

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 19/04/2016

GRIMSBY head to Surrey to play Woking knowing that a win will go a long way to ensuring a play-off place. If other results go their way then Town could cement their place in the top five this evening.

Failure to secure three points would mean a nervous last two games for the Mariners after a poor set of recent results.

Padraig Amond looks certain to return for Town, after the leading scorer was controversially dropped for the match at Dover when Paul Hurst elected to play a new system with just one striker. Town escaped from Crabble with a point, but tonight they need to win so the Mariners are likely to play with two up front. Pat Hoban is one option Hurst could turn to after missing the weekend's game with a groin problem.

However winger Nathan Arnold (groin) is unavailable once again, but he's the only player who is definitely ruled out.

Woking have had a poor run of results but they produced a shock at the weekend when they came away from Forest Green with all three points. The Cards invariably lose to the Mariners, but they have the freedom to play tonight as they are guaranteed a mid-table finish.
