WITH the new season almost upon us, it's time to cast an eye upon the teams in League Two for 2006-2007. Richard Hubbert turns his attention to Chester.

Key PlayerGregg Blundell. Managed just 6 goals in 30 appearances in a difficult 2005/06 season. If Blundell can capture the sort of scoring form that saw him net 30 goals in over 70 appearances for Doncaster Rovers, he could fire Chester to success in 2007.
StrengthsA renewed Chester with fresh faces and a first full season for returning manager Mark Wright. He will hope that they can carry on where they left off last season. With the likes of McSporran, Broughton and Bolland they have bought well in the summer. However, we said the same last summer.
WeaknessesAs Grimsby found in 2004/05, too much change in personnel takes time to blend. With 12 new signings, promotion could be too much to ask for. Furthermore, after Ricky Ravenhill's move to the Cheshire was called off, one has to ask whether all is well at the Deva Stadium.
Prediction10th. An improved season for Chester, which sees them flirt with the play offs. A lack of firepower may prevent them from enjoying a more successful season.

Next Team: Darlington
