DR FISHY has compiled match statistics and a report card for the Grimsby Town side that drew 1-1 with Norwich.

CoyneCCould be blamed for Norwich's goal but that would be harsh. Arguably should have met the corner but looked to be surrounded by Norwich attackers. Made a few easy saves and caught a few dangerous crosses. Another game with relatively little to do.
MaccaC+Looked strong until going off at half time. Was the only Town defender who looked solid until after the break.
GallyC-So so lucky not to have seen red early on. Kicked Nedergaard when he was down and had it not been for play-acting I think Gally would have gone, controlled his aggression as the game wore on and provided the cross/punt that lead to Cooke's goal.
GrovesC- Most people's fears were realised as Nielsen destroyed Groves. The greedy one simply was too fast and strong for Groves and on several occasions waltzed past him. Still like Gally and Todd improved as the game went on.
ToddB- Truly awful in the first half, like he was against Birmingham. However his 2nd half performance was first class, had he produced even an average first half performance he'd have been receiving a holy 'A' grade.
CookeBGreat debut performance capped by a nice goal. Old fashioned winger, runs at people, beats them and puts in a good cross. Caused problems all game and finally we seem to have someone who can consistently take corners to a good standard.
ButterfieldCAttacking he was absent but he kept Kenton's dangerous over-lap runs down to a minimum. Unlucky to be removed from his right wing berth though after some good displays in recent weeks.
ColdicottDWhat's happened to Stace? He seems to have become very poor in the last month or so. Again he won very little and his play was so negative and predictive it was annoying. He also played that many 'hospital balls' that I lost count.
PoutonBTook time to get going but like most the team came into his element in the 2nd half. Drove the team forward with his powerful runs that Norwich just couldn't handle. Wasn't as greedy as normal either. Even got a compliment from a mate of mine who supports Norwich "Pouton (or Polton as he calls him) was a real handful, if he plays like that every week he'll get snapped up soon". Thanks mate, just what we wanted to hear!
RobinsonC+Looked good without doing an awful lot. Reminded me a bit of Jack Lester (fast, close control and hard to knock off the ball) not quite as direct as Jack but more of a thinker who drops deep.
FalconerCWon a few flick-on's and his control was OK but given little opportunity, took a fair few knocks as well. Seeing as Livvo's fit (touch wood) I can't see where Falconer's going to fit in.

SUBS

Ford B-Get this lad a contract NOW! First match at right-back, you'd have thought he'd played there all his life. Confident on the ball, strong in the tackle and a tower in the air. Runs forward were dangerous as well.
LivvoB+ Can't give him an A but what an impact, the flick-on's where truly back. Instantly Norwich put 2 men on him (when will they learn?). Livvo just shrugged them off and got about his business. Nod-on for the goal was first class.
Jevons Wasn't on long enough but he showed some good touches and looked dangerous before been hacked down time after time.

Grade Guide

A*This is almost impossible to achieve as I will refuse to give anyone this grade - unless they score six goals and get opposing players sent off.
AThis is more possible to achieve, although the player must have had a brilliant game i.e. he can't have put a foot wrong all match.
A-The player must have performed superbly, setting up goals, scoring goals, making match-winning tackles etc.
B+The player played to a very high standard indeed having been influential throughout the 90 minutes.
BThis can be achieved if the player had a very good game overall but could be forgiven for making one or two minor mistakes.
B-The player put in a performance worthy of special mention for his efforts on the pitch or otherwise having a good game.
C+A mark for players who have had an average game but at the same time played well in patches and may have had an impact on the final score.
CAn average performance but not worthy of being dropped for the next game - a competent performance.
C-Start thinking about the player's attitude and commitment on the pitch. Showed little effort and was probably invisible for most of the match.
D+Poor game and realistically shouldn't feature in the next game.
DThis player shouldn't be playing in the near future.
D-The player deserves to be fined for his abysmal performance
EThe player should be sacked
F And then shot
