The now professional boxer joined town in 2006 during the January transfer window, He was brought to the club to bulk up the midfield by Russell Slade,The former Hull City & England U21's player made 16 appearances for town scoring 1 goal.

Woodhouse gave away a penalty against Cheltenham Town in the play-off final at Cardiff which was his last game in professional football, Thankfully it was saved, though it wasn't enough as town lost 1-0.

In April the midfielder announced he was to retire and pursue a career in boxing.

Woodhouse now plays for Harrogate Town as a semi-pro having played for Mansfield and Rushden & Diamonds.

Woodhouse has a boxing record of 10-1-0 with 5 ko's.
