Be happy with a draw today, Pearson out for Miller is the only change.

I wouldn't be happy with a draw. it wouldn;t be a bad result but i want a win today. If we're going to stay with the pack and push for promotion we could do with a result today.

A fantastic save by Mckeown keeps it 0-0. So far we appear to be letting Telford come at us and trying to play on the break again.

Thomas has about 3 or 4 assists. Fantastic back four we have.

Yes i agree, a scrappy swing at a loose ball and a set piece, we have had opportunities but it does appear that we'd need that third goal to put it to bed. Neilson has been fantastic again.

Half time 2-1 to town.

A very open game and both teams have had numerous opportunities, town look lethal from set pieces, Mckeown has made anothwer 2 or 3 fantastic saves, Hannah missed a sitter but is looking lively. Delivery from set pieces has been much better and Colbeck and Neilson have been everywhere.

Could go any way at the moment but town definitely looking good away from home again.

Currently sitting in fourth.

Enough chances to be out of sight by half time. Let's hope the strikers get in on the act. Despite all our attacking play, i've hardly heard Eldings name mentioned, and no, i'm not having a go at him, just what it sounds like.

Maybe it's time to re-introduce Cook?

i get a bit exited sometimes lol, radio mad it sound like a beast initially ... but then said it was a loose ball and he just swung foot at it. However any centre back that pokes in from 16 yeards after not playing all season.. to make it 2-1 , then its a beast in that respect :P

Posted by: springstomind, October 13, 2012, 4:16pm; Reply: 64
Elding is now complaining he did not get a shout to tell him he was onside, as he thought he was offside he fluffed a chance over the bar half heartedly. Surely at 31 years old or whatever he is after his 9047534875934857934875 clubs he has played for, he should know to play to the whistle regardless.

We are unbeaten away,  have a good defence and beaten promotion rivals at home (including twice by 4-1).

What is worrying then (and perplexing) is the very poor home performances against Nuneaton and Dartford.  Is this down to the players, the managers or both?  For some reason against some so called "small clubs" we just switch off and play poorly.  We have done this in other seasons.  I would say that the main responsibility lies with the managers to ensure that this does not happen.

To be fair, Dartford got thumped midweek, Luton got thumped by Alfreton a few weeks back & Wrexham thumped today by Lincoln. Lots of blips along the way, it's how you recover from these defeats that define your season. And Nuneaton was before the arrival of Nielsen and Hannah. We'll lose the odd game but nothing more, hopefully.

Talks well considering we lost, well according to the BBC report

Ian Miller's low drive ensured Town went in at half-time in the lead, and, despite pressure and James Spray's late miss, the Bucks held on for the win.

He was at a wedding according to a tweet this morning.

I like listening to JT, he is honest and can be blunt about performances of our players but also the opposition, which I like.

He turned down the top sports job at RH because he loves covering GTFC games. I was told this by a member of RH but will not give their identity away.

;D ;D ;D ;Sounded like a top game on humberside our team never stopped chasing the ball S&H have got it about right Miller slotted in just great all starting 11 were working for each other but it sounds as if Eldin needs to sharpen up.

I was wondering how long it would take for you lot to come to your senses and give Ian Miller a game (confused1)

Have you any idea how solid Pond and Pearson have been together?

No, obviously. It's a testament to our squad strength that Miller has had to bide his time.

Back to back wins after a non performance against Dartford is an excellent response and long may it continue.  We are up to 4th and although there is still 3/4 of the season to go I'm feeling more confident and proud of the players.

Well done lads and get into them, doesn't matter who they are, we are Town.

I think at the start of the season, we too, would have been surprised to see Miller sat on the bench but when you see the form of Pond and Pearson it is clear they cannot be dropped at present, even for Miller...
