And, by the sounds of it, a blatant foul that was a definite yellow goes unpunished. FFS, some of these refs are f***ing cr@p.

I've got it on the box and Disley was lucky not to get booked. He went down far too soft. Never a penalty.

Interesting. Why didn't the ref book Disley then if he felt he was looking for it? It was either a foul (and a pen) or a dive (and a yellow). Both Buckley and Tondeur felt it was a penalty.

I'm watching as well don't think there was any contact and lucky not to get booked

Sounds like Wrexham coming back into it a bit at present, Like chaos says, Buckley and Tondeur said it was a penalty.

I was twitching for the ref to give a penalty when I first saw it but looking at the replay, I think it was a dive. The ref had a decent view of it as well.

How do Wrexham look TFM ?
Posted by: tonyfordsmicrofro, December 21, 2012, 8:24pm; Reply: 18
Average I'd say but we're about the same. Wrexham seem to have come into the game a bit more since Morrell went off. No real threat from either side I'd say as of yet.

If Cook had put that into Hannah's path instead of being greedy i'm pretty sure that would have been in the back of the net. A wasted opportunity.

Posted by: Tommy, December 21, 2012, 8:38pm; Reply: 25
Wrexham on top. Their 3 in midfield outnumbering us and allowing them to keep possession easier.

We can't keep the ball and have started to struggle to get it off them in the last 10/15 minutes.

Hopefully more to come from us in the 2nd half.

2nd half and we'll be better: 3-0 to us at full-time

Can see us snatching this
Posted by: tonyfordsmicrofro, December 21, 2012, 8:46pm; Reply: 28
Wrexham have definitely been the better side towards the end of the first half and were unlucky not to score from a cross punted deep into the box. Our best chance so far has been a ball put over the top of Hannah who got a great first touch but didn't manage to put enough zip and direction on the finish. It was too low, stretched their keeper but it was probably going wide and the keeper looked like he had it covered anyway.

Hopefully we can improve in the second half. I wouldn't say we're playing badly but they certainly look the more likely to get something at the minute.

Are we shooting towards the pontoon ?
Posted by: LukeyJ, December 21, 2012, 8:55pm; Reply: 30
Quite frankly I don't see the "Wrexham on top". The TV said that but we have 66% possession on BBC sport and I see that. You could argue they have challenged our keeper more that we've challenged theres, but we have created a few chances that we could have done better with. We seem the more positive.
Posted by: LukeyJ, December 21, 2012, 8:56pm; Reply: 31
Cook could have teed up Hannah again. He tried to go it alone, again. Stop being so greedy. Team game. Plank.

Good result

Very even game between two good sides that cancelled each other out. Wrexham edged the first half, we had the second and it took one moment of quality to be the difference.

Thankfully it went our way.

Get in there, lets hope Newport don't win tomorrow.

RH just announced that they won't be getting a post match reaction from either of the managers or a player. Anyone know why?
Posted by: Tommy, December 21, 2012, 9:59pm; Reply: 63
Good second half. As the commentators kept saying, Scott and Hurst obviously got us to press them better second half which worked for us.

Dis and Del Boy got stuck in to their midfield, and we got Neilson on the ball a bit more.

Special mentions for me should go to Neilson who worked as hard as anyone out there when it could've been easy for him to slack off a bit in his last game. And Miller who continues to come in from the cold and put in solid performances.

I thought the game as a whole summed us up really - solid at the back, and likely to score if we create a chance going forward.

The more the second half wore on i was thinking to myself - if we just create one good chance i fancy us to win this.

I'm guessing it's probably something to do with premier sports and the tv cameras being there. Perhaps it's contractual reasons.

Probably premier sports, did they give one after other TV matches?

Hannah hopes he can stay, loves it here and wants to stay.

Hurst said it was a tight game. Wrexham a very good side. Christmas day will be better after a win.

Doesn't Tondeur often spout off about the goings on at Town on Twitter? Maybe they have had a quiet word with him on a previous occasion.
