Elding sounded rather bitter in that interview. He shouldn't be surprised he's not getting in the team when he put in a transfer request and has looked pretty useless in every game he's played this season (other than Barrow away).

Lousy first corner - do we not practice these set pieces ? - Miller & Pearson both gagging to score if the deliveries could be better!

It wasn't a short one AGAIN was it... I thought we'd begun to improve our corners when we started scoring (direct) from them...

A worrying start. Not unsurprising given the long lay off and the upset of losing Marshall and the pressure of winning to go top. Hyde sound like they like playing us!

In this league anyone can beat anyone. On paper we're better but unfortunately so far tonight we're the average team. Long way to go yet though mate.
Posted by: Codzilla, January 22, 2013, 8:29pm; Reply: 30
Lincoln, Hereford and Hyde are 3 teams we should be beating at home IF we're serious about winning the league. 2 and a half games in and only 3 points and we seem lucky if we're gonna get that.

Buckley is only saying how he sees it.

listerning to the game on humberside, sounds pretty slow from town. bradley wood usual self heavy challanges, broadie needs to make more off an effort, hannah and devvit sound the only decent two on the field

a 1-0 lead won't do against hyde either, we've got to wake up in the second half, which wouldn't suprise me it seems to be a frequent part in our game

All i'm hearing is so-and-so lifts it over....there's no passing in the middle, if anywhere. Surely Devitt needs it feeding to him rather than all this lumping, we need to play to his strengths.

Thing is I always get a strong impression that scott and hurst want them to pass it on the floor, and it always seems to get changed at half time, I think the players just panic if theyre under a bit of pressure and run out of ideas

Looking round the rivals forums one thing stands out (apart from the abysmal Luton Outlaws) is that our defence is much admired and pointed out to be the main reason behind our position. Miller has stepped in and Pond is barely missed, with a solid defence like ours you always have a chance of grabbing the late goal as we soak up any pressure and the opposition start to show the strain.
Hopefully have Marshall back next game and a little more balance, scruffy home wins will do just fine, though the crowds may not pick up too quickly.
