I would have started Paddy not Thanoj and Rodman not Colbeck. No matter really - we're gonna get thumped.
Posted by: springstomind, January 4, 2014, 2:37pm; Reply: 2
Thomas is left and bignot right I imagine? Just an error in positions I think.. I hope ... I don't know of any youth team right back Thomases lol!

Either way with that team I cannot see us getting much lol

Glad to see Thanoj get his place again, I thought he played well against Lincoln, he's extremely composed on the ball and looks a class player.

Lincoln still 0-0 at home to Luton (10mins left): we'll be fine today 'Udderfield will allow us to play football and Thanoj will come of age!

No, it's his brother Oscar Gobern. Lewis doesn't play anymore, not pro anyway.

They are all over us. We need to settle down a bit
Posted by: Meza, January 4, 2014, 3:14pm; Reply: 14
Will the wet pitch favour them...probably.   As long as we give it a good go I'll be happy regardless of the result.
Posted by: Belfast Town, January 4, 2014, 3:16pm; Reply: 15
Town have had only 21% of possession. Need to hang on in there.

Quality goal that. Colbeck skinned his man and Hannah did his job of getting onto the end of the cross in the six yard box. Huddersfield bossing it in midfield though and finding men easily all over the park which will tire us out .

Great first half from the boys, defending fantastically and looking very good going forward. Passing the ball well, good movement. Let's all hope this keeps up. UTM!

Posted by: CairnsMariner, January 4, 2014, 3:51pm; Reply: 30
Great 1st half. Thought we did really well and the ball out wide for the goal was class. BP sounds good, Should be going to bed but this is just too good. Come on you Mariners.
Posted by: Dan, January 4, 2014, 3:56pm; Reply: 31
First few minutes it was obvious why they're so many leagues above us, still we've defended well and took our chance when it came, can't ask for anything more really hey?
Posted by: jaygy, January 4, 2014, 3:59pm; Reply: 32
The stats show that we have defended greatly and took our one chance when it came. Am watching the game on fox sports, Americans should not be allowed to talk about FOOTBALL!!! Offence and deeeefence do not belong in our game!!
Posted by: immariner, January 4, 2014, 3:59pm; Reply: 33
We've defended manfully but we were vastly overrun in midfield in that first 20 minutes. They peppered our goal and McKeown made a couple of really good saves. But for a few heroic blocks we'd have been 3-0 down.

I wonder if it stays as it is for 15 minutes or so whether Hurst will bring on McLaughlin and go 5 across the middle.

Great performance thus far, defending solidly and looking pretty dangerous on the attack. Sort of regret not going now, the last FA Cup game I went was that abysmal defeat to Bath.

There you go - two chances to deliver a good ball into the box from a set piece - Colbeck takes them both and the keeper comes and collects both of them. How many times must we learn that lesson?!?! Jeez, last season was characterised by it. In a game like this, we can't afford poor delivery.
Posted by: Martz86, January 4, 2014, 4:20pm; Reply: 42
To be fair, Colbeck put in some great delivery's against Lincoln

Haven't heard the Huddersfield fans all game until now. Those players really have done themselves proud. Cannot have asked for any more from them
Posted by: chicaneuk, January 4, 2014, 4:54pm; Reply: 72
Unbelievable. The most enraging thing is reading their forums comments - they've been slagging off their own team, and slagging off each other.. and now taking the urine out of town after we've embarrassed them for virtually the entire second half and they've fluked the win. Utter mongs.

Really proud of how town played and, on the plus side, one less competition to worry about so we can concentrate on getting out the Conference.

Gutted but massively proud to support Town today.

So proud of the lads today, what a fantastic performance and we fully deserved to win. I hope the players take pride and confidence from this and put it into the rest of the season. This proves that we deserve to be in the Football League next season. UTM
