I think Tondeur mentioned it that Hyde tend to be "in" most games for the first hour or so. It could take a while to wear them down today.

BBC website saying c 75% possession!  Sounds like Boyce has had a few headers from Kerr crosses and that Hannah has had a few shots away.  Just need to keep on the pressure and it will come.

Come on Town, need a kick up the bottom at half time! A bloody  up the bottom.

Second half can only get better, not enough energy in the team overall.

Patchy. Sound dangerous when we get forward with Hanhan but Hyde with the better football though the middle and with a couple of half decent efforts on goal. We sound a little too predictable, Aswad's surges easily countered by their RB, overall lack of urgency. As per.
Posted by: HackneyHaddock, April 21, 2014, 3:49pm; Reply: 22
Hyde rarely get whacked from minute 1, but do crumble under sustained pressure and can then fold later in the game, so no need to panic.  Keep backing the team and I'm sure they'll do it.

Must admit - we're a few goals short of where I thought we'd be at half time. Perhaps LJL isn't needed today - bring Cook on now. BBC reckon we have had the same number of efforts at goal as Hyde, and Hyde have had 3 on target as opposed to Grimsby's 2! Strange considering Hyde's horrendous goal difference stat.

I think the Hyde efforts were very long range and didn't trouble McKeown and one of our off target efforts hit the post, so the stats can be a bit misleading. I agree with earlier post about Hyde fading. They were level with Kiddy until the 75th minute on Friday in a game Kiddy absolutely had to win. We have time but must be clinical.

We're playing ok but nothing special. We've had the better of the chances, Boyce has ha a couple of headers, Hannah's had two very good chances.

It's fairly easy to see why Hyde have got some
tonkings this year, physically they look small, they play some decent football in parts but don't look particularly dangerous going forward. As opposed to other teams they do commit players forward which is refreshing to see.

We need a goal early, once we go ahead they will crumble.

'Twas all about getting a goal today. They had one chance all game early on but never looked like scoring.

Town had plenty of chances but once again didn't take them. Hannah's goal was his most difficult chance, and a very good strikers goal. The type he was scoring when he first arrived.

Strangely flat today at BP.
