I think 6-1 to Town.
Bogle hat-trick, Arnold 2 and Pearson 1
And then a 20 match unbeaten run

JT speaking passionately on the radio about the refereeing decision from Tuesday. Think the fan got the better of him there.

Need to show the intensity we did for 15mins before half time at Alty, think the changes will freshen things up, fancy a clean sheet 3-0 (Bogle2, Arnold)...

Amond dropped after doing his job and scoring goals.

Wow.

Alot of changes today.

I hope they win today but i wouldn't have dropped Amond.  Some strange changes really.  C'mon town.

If Amond is dropped, then I'm unhappy with that.
Posted by: AdamHaddock, August 22, 2015, 2:59pm; Reply: 18
For people who are there, is it 4-5-1 or is one of Arnold or Monk playing up front?

Edit - JT has just clarified, Arnold upfront

Dont get why Amond is dropped, and given East is available why Toto at right back. We know from previous seasons square pegs dont fit round holes as well as round pegs do.

Obviously he's been dying to play Robertson but he's not match fit.  He's a good player but has no pace.  If Ayala is playing he could have a torrid time.  Fingers crossed.

The morale in the squad must be brilliant knowing you getting dropped after 4 games.

Is the team today stronger than the one last week , no i dont think so.

Tuesday night wasnt great but a loan midfielder and certain players not even in the 16 , our top scorer dropped just seems so desperate and strange.
Posted by: cardiffmariner, August 22, 2015, 3:44pm; Reply: 53
For me Clay was MOM last Saturday and has started the season well. If he isn't injured, Hurst is sending out the message 'one bad game and I'll replace you with a loanee'. WTF?

Equally, he has signed two new full backs and has started 2/4 games this season with Toto at RB!
Posted by: brad_gtfc, August 22, 2015, 3:44pm; Reply: 54
I think Hurst has panicked more than the whole of the fans collectively.

Clay and Podge on for Robinson and Mackreth. (I say from the comfort of not being there)
Posted by: headingly_mariner, August 22, 2015, 3:50pm; Reply: 58
That was bad!!! Pearson could have been sent off as last man. Two bad goals and too much tinkering. Having said that it could be two all, Arnold missed a sitter and we were denied a stonewall pen for handball.

urine poor team selection, car crash defending and another excrement girl private blind referee. A great 45 minutes!
Posted by: jonnyboy82, August 22, 2015, 3:51pm; Reply: 60
Absolutely excrement.

Fuming that again we manage to turn a good looking positive team into a excrement one with nothing to be arsed about.

Only at grimsby.
Posted by: Meza, August 22, 2015, 3:52pm; Reply: 61
You dont have to make umpteen changes if midfield was the problem why? If Clay was mom how did Disley do.  Id play Monkhouse in the middle with Dis and Clay give the players a 2nd chance to make amends and play Arnold behind Amond and Bogle.

But saying this is hindsight.  Just disappointed with PH reaction i hope he doesn't kill the positivity.

Why the intercourse aren't the subs in the dressing room hearing what the manager has to say?
They played excrement against Kidderminster and the subs were doing the same thing, playing keep up for 15mins.

When you lump it for 35 minutes to Nathan Arnold against a very tall defence, you're committing footballing suicide. Funny how we looked much better for the last ten minutes when we played the ball around.
Arnold skied a very good chance and Moleman ref misses what looks a blatant handball ala Herd for Lincoln a few years ago.
Posted by: jonnyboy82, August 22, 2015, 4:01pm; Reply: 73
Its alright paul always saying players need to be up to his standards to be in his team but maybe he needs to look in the mirror and see what he is actually offering us.

6 flipping years he has had at getting us were we are currently.yes still in this illegitimate league.

A big gap already developing at the top so we are already playing catch up yet again.
Posted by: toontown, August 22, 2015, 4:02pm; Reply: 74
Re: not giving a penalty for that handball, truly the worst 'important' decision I can remember for a long long time. The whole ground saw it as they say.
Don't know what toto was doin at right back, odd decision for me, surprised at Amond bein dropped too. Would like to bring on clay and Amond and maybe Pittman and Marshall too, but obviously we can't.
Posted by: Meza, August 22, 2015, 4:04pm; Reply: 75
That is interesting nightrider i think this will be PH last season if he fails i just have this feeling.  I hope im wrong as id love PH to get us up but not signing enough players at the start of the season and then making loads of changes some probably unlucky to be dropped.

My team

                               McKeown

Tait             Pearson            Gowling          East

               Clay           Disley       Monkhouse

                                  Arnold

               Bogle                          Amond

Although we can talk about formations but i believe this will get the best out the players and give us more help in midfield.  The fullbacks bomb on.
