He's clearly deemed as not being good enough, and, quite frankly, I agree with hurst.

That's football.

I don't think he's great, but he's certainly performed better than Marshall in his recent (few) games.

Delighted JP's back. Feel for MacKreth, I would have given him the nod over Marshall but not much in it. Very strong bench.

I also feel that he is a better bet than Marshall, which is why i'm surprised. Looks to be on his way out.

Can anyone see activity in the Jan transfer window?

Yep hurst just said he wants 2 more players.

Mackreth seems set for the exit door; his performances for the ressies and whatnot would have him ahead of Marshall for me but we don't know if he's shown a bad attitude on the training ground.

Not been good enough overall but shown enough recently to at least stake a claim for the bench. But hey ho that's football.

Please don't let town choke in front of a full house and tv!!
Strange quirk of the fixtures that Cheltenham and FGR are playing Kiddy and Torquay again so think 3 points is crucial

Looking forward to this one.Think the Guisely game being called of has done us a advantage eg more rest than them.Hopefully Cheltenham slip up at some point though

According to the pundits expecting almost 9000.For a 5th tier game thats amazing. When Eibar played Barcelona in la liga a few weeks back they got just over 5000.Says it all the passion then that exists for these clubs (more so us) and undermines where we should be in the football pyramid.Aiming long term for league 1 at best in my opinion

that fit lines woman has made a couple of dodgy decisions. I'm very happy with the first half, haven't got going but stayed strong defensively against a physical team abd against the wind... hoping for town to now start doing what we do and knock the ball around the floor, early go to set the tone for the rest of the second half. utm
Posted by: Meza, December 28, 2015, 1:34pm; Reply: 35
Decent half but we all know town can play better...We'll certainly have a few more chances in the next half um sure.  Set piece is going to be their weapon at the min.  Diz tackle was fair compared to hawkridges 2 foot on him.  Pundits think its a yellow and not a red.

We need to string a few passes together and not tempt to launch it.

C'mon town get an early 2nd goal and kill the game.

Great touch and footwork though. He isn't far from being a cracking player

Could do with another because as things stand all it needs is a split second something to go wrong and you know they could capitalise on it, whereas a second for us would knock the stuffing out of them.....well maybe not ALL the stuffing out of Rhead! ;)

As derby games go that was a tremendous display from Town. The movement of the front 3 was superb, they were about 1 million times better than the Lincoln forward line. Good to see Bogle using his strength more, lots of nice link ups and a superb cross from him for the first.
Podge is just class, his header was brilliantly finished and shows you don't need some lardyarse bulky player pushing and shoving his way to get on the end of crosses.

I do suggest  a peek at the Lincoln forum to finish off the day, quite how so many people lacking in football knowledge manage to gather in one place is astonishing. To be told that Town didn't deserve the win, that Dis should have gone for a challenge that was quite clearly shown on the replay to have got the ball, with studs down, that we were poor etc just gives me an extra wide smile.

Lincoln were 1 dimensional shite, as their manager admitted to earlier in the week. Town are on a different footballing planet to that bunch.

Well done Paul Hurst, and thanks for that late Xmas pressies(icon_cheesygrin)

Monkhouse is class in a rip roaring derby you need a cool head we played some nice attacking play and but for their splendid keeper would have been out of sight. Fair play to imp fans they really got behind their lads even more when they went down to ten men. The ref was not bullied into evening the score up by the imp players screaming ay him to send Dis off fair play to him for that.

Bitter much?  ;D

Always amuses me how they roll out the excuse of us being "bankrolled". We average about 1200 more per home game. Let's say that an average ticket is £12 plus maybe £2000  extra revenue per game due to the extra people (conservative estimate) and that works out at nearly £350,000 more coming from gate receipts over the course of the season. Our budget is bigger because we're a bigger club, it's not like we're Eastleigh or worse, FGR. Still, it was all the ref's fault today and not your inability to make more than one decent chance. Take Farman and Rhead out of that team and they're in the bottom four.
