Surprisingly strong team for me. Expected Bogle to start. Henderson must be wondering what the point of him signing was.

Can't see Henderson being very happy, I'll be amazed if he's here next season

The commentator on Radio Surrey says we were cheated out of promotion last year because the referee choked on sending the Bristol keeper off.
Astonishing for a BBC man, but true of course

If Palmer had been out on the left wing when it happened you might have said that it was BBC bias but there you go....everyone knows we were  done up like a kipper with that ref

Win the 3 games in hand and beat them next week and second spot is only 4 points away.

Right.....we are going to win every game left - catch Cheltenham on the last day, seal promotion on goal difference and then celebrate thrashing Gateshead in the Trophy Final.

Well maybe :-)

If only every win was as pedestrian as today!

I had an incredibly depressing trip to watch Bognor v Portsmouth in pre-season a couple of years ago (for both footballing and personal reasons). Absolutely no inclination to return there after that, so hope we draw Halifax / Gateshead or Nantwich!

Nope. It's called a 6-pointer but we still only get 3 points for winning.

16 points behind currently - 3 games in hand plus beat them is only 12 points.

We will lose the Play Off final at Wembley then we will win the FA Trophy at Wembley and this forum will go mental and there will be a lot of disgruntled supporters!

I wonder just how much would be made in way of profit if we were to win the FA Trophy?

It might go half way to Operation Promotion in season 2016/17

Will it be promotion to League 1 or back to the Football League 2?

Thoughts?

( can't see us losing to Bognor or Nantwich, so only 1 team can stop us winning)

About 3 and 6 by the time Wembley and the ticket agency have taken their cut of the proceeds of a sub 20k crowd.

God forbid we lose in the play offs

But if we do and we're in the trophy final the following week, that trophy final day will be so excrement, I think I'd rather lose both than lose the play offs but win the trophy because if we do win the trophy we will all be coming home thinking "if only we could swap games and win the play offs rather than trophy"

Atleast if we lose both then we can't think that

I look at it this way for most teams in all the leagues the seasons already over. It's great that once again we have a extended season of excitement to look forward to.
