No Bogle or Pearson in the squad.
Posted by: mariner91, March 8, 2016, 6:59pm; Reply: 1
Pearson must be injured or ill surely?
Posted by: Abdul19, March 8, 2016, 7:12pm; Reply: 2
If Bogle's fit I don't understand his omission (forget the twitter stuff, he's played since). Do we need Robertson AND East on the bench? We're at home to shite opposition, I don't think 2 strikers on the bench is out the ordinary.

Pearson injured according to JT.

Why no Pearson?
Posted by: chaos33, March 8, 2016, 7:15pm; Reply: 4
Can only assume that's the case with Pearson, which is a great shame. Hope he's back ASAP. Looks like classic Hurst pigheadedness leaving out Bogle. Why wouldn't you have two strikers on the bench for a must win home game? Hurst punishing Bogle is arguably not in the best interests of the team. I'm annoyed.

Pearson must be ill or injured as said above, however just incase

Dropping Pearson Hurst clearly out of his depth

Dropping Pearson piece of tactical genius by Hurst there

Pearson injured so explains that.

I think we should get Louis Almond from Southport. Not sure if he's any good but with Amond, Almond and Arnold in the same team JT and AB's heads would explode most weeks

#GTFC STARTING XI: McKEOWN, TAIT, NSIALA, GOWLING, HORWOOD, ARNOLD, DISLEY (c), NOLAN, MONKHOUSE, HOBAN, AMOND.

Good job we've got two left backs on the bench for this difficult, must not lose home game eh. I'm sick of Hurst, I really am.

Hurst said recently both Arnold and Jennings can play up front if need be.

To be fair East can play in a few positions, judge the game after it starts or when it's finished.

See the Leicester fan who had £50 at 5000-1 cashed out for £72k. Is yours a similar size bet?

It seems game after game we hear crossed in, headed clear by opposition or caught by keeper, I know we score a few headed goals from open play but surely if we dont have particularly big strikers why aren't we hitting more low crosses and cutbacks :-/

Been thinking this for some time

Monkhouse going off might mean a change of tactics and more play to feet  ::)

Don't mind these changes - Clay back with Disley - 2 wingers /wide players  in effect. Hoban may be better meeting winger's crosses? Worth a try??

Don't know if it's just JT's commentary.....but starting to get to that stage of the game where every time the opposition have the ball, you think a goal is on

After the way we started you'd have expected us to put these to bed, but a second goal for us seems to be nowhere in sight

Going to be a long next 10-15 minutes or so :-/

Even if we win tonight we've been poor. Unlike in previous times when we've just accepted that then scratched our heads when we get caught out, things probably need to change in the next league fixture.

Probably right Buckstown - shows how wary of  Southport we are - should have won 5-0  but negative vibes affects the whole team. Town needs to feel that it is the best team in the league  because it is. Come on managers - inspire -get the crowd behind you!

3 in the bag. Refuse however to contemplate the title challenge being 'back on' until the other two games in hand won also -along with a points haul to at least match the others when we all playing as well of course.

Win every game 1-0 and Cheltenham do too apart from the one loss to us and it's playoffs for us. Of course win each playoff game 1-0 and yes, promoted.

One game at a time. If the top two both have a few iffy results then the door for the title may open for us. But for now let's keep picking up results and consolidate top three
