Grimsby took the lead though Peter Bore in the first minute of the game with just 40 seconds on the clock.
A terrific strike by Peter Bore on 23 almost made it two on 20 minutes, but the 'keeper made a geat save.
Phil Barnes conceded a penalty on 24 when he brought down Craddock, who stepped up to score. Barnes received a booking.
The penalty had come against the run of play but buoyed Luton, who had the better of the second half.
On 57 Town won a free kick on the edge of the penalty area, which Till took and Bennett flicked into the Pontoon net.
Town had a good chance to make it three but the 'keeper tipped it over for a corner.
With 10 mins to go Nick Hegarty cleared a ball off the line as Luton pressed for an equaliser.
Grimsby conceded a sickening 3rd minute of injury time goal when Cradock was allowed to run through the defence and shoot past Barnes from the edge of the area.
