After a scrappy start Marcus Stewart gave Exeter the lead after just seven minutes.

Town looked to be going in to the dressing rooms after a terrible first half but Nathan Jarman equalised on 45 from close range after being set up by Proudlock.

Early in the second half Grimsby made it two. Widdowson played a ball into the box and fell to Jarman who slammed it into the net for his second.

Kalala then hit the bar, bounced up and then fell to Kalala who hit the bar again!

Mike Newell was sent to the stands by the referee after something he said to the fourth official.

Peter Bore came on for Forbes with 20 minutes to go.

On 78 minutes Logan laid the ball of to Ryan Harley who fired an unstoppable blast past Barnes.

Both sides pressed for a winner but the game was destined to be a draw.
