Hudson and new signing Devitt on loan from Hull both started.

Lee Hughes gave the home side the lead when he latched on to a free kick into the box on 18 minutes.

Notts County went on to dominate the first half, creating all the chances, with Town not having a sniff.

On the stoke of half time Town equalised against the run of play. Devitt blasted a ball on the edge of the box past Schmeichel into the top corner.

Town stepped up their game early in the second half. Notts County looked to have gone ahead again through Lee Hughes but the goal was disallowed for handball and Hughes was booked.

Wright and Proudlock had a joint chance to give Town the lead, but both seemed to leave it to the other.

After another long spell of Notts County pressure Town broke and Leary struck a 30-yard shot from midfield which hit the bar.

Lee Hughes was given a second yellow card for dissent in the final minute of injury time.

Town clung on for a deserved draw but still 22 games without a win.
