Hearn status as expected. Town came out of the blocks very quickly. Townsend nearly scored on 20 mins when he made a great run, beating two men and shooting just wide.

Tamworth should have done better on 32 mins when they broke quickly and had men over but failed to get a shot on target.

Tamworth came into the game early in the second half, and McKeown had to be alert to keep the score goalless.

Coulson then took the ball off a defender who slipped, which brought him into a one-on-one with the 'keeper but shot straight at him.

Hearn then brought himself into a one-on-one situation with the 'keeper but his shot hit the post and was cleared.

Town then scored a goal which was adjudged to have crossed the goalline. A Coulson corner was headed on by Miller, and Elding got a final touch. The ball was cleared but it had gone over the line.

Town were ahead for just 5 mins. Wood failed to clear the ball and Taylor nipped in to level the game.

Both teams had chances to win but the game ended 1-1.
