Pearson returned for Town, and Hatylor was pushed into midfield in place on Thanoj.

Town were the better side in the opening half. Disley, Hannah and Naylor all produced good saves from Marriott, but it ended 0-0.

Disley was forced off at HT with a hamstring injury and Andi Thanoj took his place in midfield.

Mansfield took the lead from a free kick taken when Miller was off the field injured, and Rhead rose at the far post to give the Stags the lead.

Chapman blasted in a 20-yard thuderbolt into the roof of the net with 9 mins to go to seal the points for the home side.

Town played well for most of the game but injuries decided it for the Mariners.
