Just In: FT: Darlo 3 Grimsby 2

Alan Buckley decided to rest Nick Hegarty and Gary Jones, bringing in James Hunt and Peter Till. The Mariners played 3-5-1-1 with Newey at left wing back.

After a quiet start Butler scored two quick goals to put Grimsby 2-0 up. The first fell on 27 came when Till set up Butler who blasted home from a narrow angle. Within a minute Till set up Butler again who blasted the ball past Stockdale.

Three minutes later Darlo pulled a goal back when Abbott lobbed the ball over Barnes.

Abbott levelled the game with a cool finish just before half time.

Bolland hit the post at the start of the second half but then Darlington's pressure produced a third goal when Tommy Wright blasted the ball past Barnes on 64.
