Town started in a rare 4-4-2 formation with Neilson missing out. Aswad Thomas was taken ill so missed the game against his former club.

Craig Disley fired Town into the lead after 14 minutes, when he headed in a cross by Magnay.

Town could have gone 2-0 up but sub 'keeper Howe made a point blank save to deny Disley a second goal.

Woking lost 'keeper Jake Cole and striker Scott Rendell in the first half through injury. Woking had their chances but never managed to force a save from McKeown. Jack Marriot missed the best of the Card's chances.

After the break Pittman and John-Lewis combined and John-Lewis scored Town's second after a mistake by the Woking 'keeper.

With Town seemingly coasting Woking substitute Morgan managed to get a shot on goal which crept past McKeown in off the post. Woking almost straight away scored a second when a shot by Payne hit the foot of the post with McKeown beaten.

After a few worrying minutes Town put the game to bed. A run by Ross Hannah was played into the box by Arnold and John-Lewis poked the ball in the net.

Grimsby went on to win and are now six points behind Barnet after they lost to Bristol Rovers.  Match Thread
