Jolley started in place of Mackreth for Town and John-Lewis returned to the bench.

A brilliant run and cross by Magnay led to an attempt by Jolley which was saved, and Palmer reacted quickest to score from the rebound.

John-Lewis came on and Palmer's shot was spilled by the keeper and LJL had a tap-in to give Town a two goal cushion.

Burton and Magnay had an altercation late in the game which ended in Magnay pushing Burton over. Burton was sent off and Magnay received a yellow card, but it could have been worse.

10-man Eastleigh finally forced a save from McKeown from McAllister's shot. Then the Eastleigh manager got sent off for abuse of the officials.

Eastleigh pulled a goal back in injury time when a long free kick resulted in a goal.

Town only had a minute to hang on which they managed to this week. A scruffy game with an exciting finale finished with Grimsby doing the double over Eastleigh.
