Paul Hurst put new signings Henderson and Alabi on the bench.

The Mariners broke the deadlock when Townsend crossed for Amond to head Grimsby in front.

The Mariners struggled to break down a stubborn Kidderminster defence in a lacklustre first half.

Town were unlucky not to concede when Whitfield shrugged off Toto and hit the post with McKeown beaten.

Town survived without any more worries to get over the line and secure three valuable points in an uninspiring game.
