Grimsby v Exeter Team News

GRIMSBY return after an enforced break due to the postponement at Mansfield but the hiatus has given the Mariners a chance to lick their wounds and recover. Grimsby had 13 players unavailable for the Checkatrade defeat at Doncaster, and now just three players are not training.

The three players still injured are Harry Davis, Harry Cardwell and Elliott Whitehouse, the last two who have not played a meaningful part yet anyway. So effectively Harry Davis is the only regular not available.

Grimsby take on high-flying Exeter at Blundell Park, a side who are in fine form with 14 points from the last 6 games and they also managed the double over Grimsby last season. So any sort of return will be an improvement on last season's battles with the Grecians. Their leading scorer Jayden Stockley is top of the League Two scoring charts.

Exeter will be without Chiedozie Ogbene (ankle) who has returned to his parent club Brentford. Defender Craig Woodman (calf) came through a reserve fixture in midweek, but Ozzie defender Jimmy Oates (hamstring) is still short of fitness.
