David Grest (62.254.0.4)- Octo 14, 2001 - 5:37:47 Cleethorpes [N E Lincs] Is anybody listening to the fans? WE WANT A NEW GROUND... it will be both beneficial to the fans and the County as a whole, it will portray hope and a future to the rest of the world. We currently look like a third world country here in Lincolnshire where we cant afford 4 tin sheds for a ground!!! Show the country Lincolnshire is not left in the 1900's, say 'YES' to a new ground at the Great Coates site. |
Paul Holmes (62.254.0.4)- Octo 14, 2001 - 5:23:25 GY [UK] Why should we not have a stadium, the council of Hull have embraced a new stadium for their team. Its about time that the local authority got of their backsides and did something constructive. |
Michael Green (62.254.0.4)- Octo 14, 2001 - 5:10:48 Cleethorpes [UK] The team plays a major part in the life of this area and a new state of the art stadium is needed to keep this great club where it belongs, at least the first division. |
Alan Breese (194.117.133.84)- Octo 14, 2001 - 5:01:16 Ilkley [England] It is vital that the new ground goes ahead. Hull have been granted and will build in next to no time. Every new ground built in England over the past 10 years has sucessfully enhanced the local community. Moving the ground to the outskirts of Grimsby, will improve the quality of life for many more residents of Cleethorpes than it affects Great Coates. Please grant permission to build the new ground |
craig patton (195.92.168.163)- Octo 14, 2001 - 4:50:16 scarborough [north yorkshire] what are we waiting for, ?????????? |
brian robinson (195.212.29.163)- Octo 14, 2001 - 4:46:37 Nottingham [UK] I was born and bred in Grimsby and my family still live there. I have been a supporter for over 30 years and feel that the Town needs a vibrant football club to giv eit some sense of identity. In order for the club to survive and attract new supports a stadium in keeping twith the 21st rather than 19th century is desperately needed and the Site on th1 A180 is the only option. |
Paul Hudson (212.137.134.225)- Octo 14, 2001 - 4:36:42 Lancaster [England] The club has needed a new stadium for many years, it has been far too long in getting this far and any more time is potentially disastrous for the club's future |
Rob Walker (134.146.9.2)- Octo 14, 2001 - 4:26:16 Holton le Clay [England] As stated by two sets of consultants, Great Coates is the best available site to build the new stadium. Lets get it built. Make a good job of it, and any of the objectors points can be solved with a little thought. Build it now!!!!! |
Steve (213.1.163.114)- Octo 14, 2001 - 4:17:00 [UK]A new ground is the ONLY way this club can progress. Look what a new ground has done to teams in the past - Sunderland, averaging around 15,000 at Roker Park, they now average about 48,000 at the Stadium of Light. Bolton, averaging around 13,000 at Burnden Park, now regularly get approx. 28,000 at the Reebok Stadium. A new ground will also attract better players, as they will be more drawn to the ground with better facilities and state-of-the-art stadiums. So please NELC, do the right thing. |
Richard Hubbert (195.92.194.18)- Octo 14, 2001 - 4:15:34 Lincoln [U.K] Wakey wakey, Grimsby need this stadium more than anything. If it's refused, then it's just as good as making the club extinct. |
Tim Hubbard (195.92.168.163)- Octo 14, 2001 - 4:13:03 Thrapston [UK] Blundell Park will never be appropriate as a 21st century football ground and no matter what memories we have of games gone by there, we need to be looking forward. Town are rightly in the public eye again after their exploits at Anfield and we should be seeking to build in every sense of the word on this foundation of success, starting with a home ground we can be proud of. A new ground is long overdue if we want to maintain our status but to gain even greater success in the future we have no option but to move with the times! |
stevan tranter (62.7.40.127)- Octo 14, 2001 - 4:08:34 holton le clay [uk] Now Hull have got there stadium under way why cannot WE. |
peter and tracy croft (64.12.102.42)- Octo 14, 2001 - 4:07:12 hull [england] long overdue,on the right side of town for traffic, easy to get to from out of town and from in town. |
Phil Taylor (195.93.33.156)- Octo 14, 2001 - 3:56:42 York [Uk] Grimsby and the wider community needs a modern stadium with excellent facilities if it is to continue to represent many thousands of people at this high level. To reject this proposal is to admit that Grimsby is of less importance than scores of other British towns who have joined the modern era, and enjoyed excellent, up to date facilites that they have payed for with their taxes. North East Lincolnshire NEEDS this to happen. |
Shaun Cox (62.254.0.4)- Octo 14, 2001 - 3:29:56 Grimsby [England] We need the new ground because if we wanna do good we need the right facilities to do it with. We need it aswell to boost the players with the loader atmostphere. |
Ben Brooks (62.6.102.1)- Octo 14, 2001 - 3:26:52 Barnetby [England] I think A New Ground is just what GRIMSBY TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB and the community needs!! |
adam welch (62.7.42.17)- Octo 14, 2001 - 3:13:39 grimsby(a town not a city) [england] the way other clubs have had thier new stadium aproved by the government within weeks is a disgrace.we have waited patiently for a decision for the last 10 months[though i appreciate that there have been big national issues to address] just what is the big stalling point? please sort out a decision(the right and positive one)as soon as possible |
Bob graves (62.254.0.4)- Octo 14, 2001 - 3:06:26 cleethorpes [N.E.Lincs] Our club needs this new stadium to financially survive.Without it we may not last many more years. This town badly needs to be brought into the 21st century. The 160ish from Great Coates should be ashamed of themselves. |
MR J.P. HOWLEY (195.92.168.170)- Octo 14, 2001 - 3:02:28 SCUNTHORPE [N. LINCOLNSHIRE] |
Martin Copass (62.254.0.4)- Octo 14, 2001 - 2:59:03 Grimsby [N.E.Lincolnshire] GTFC need a new stadium to continue as a first division football club. The council should support the club in every way possible and so should the Labour Government by making a decison ASAP. |
Rob Sedgwick (62.60.48.251)- Octo 14, 2001 - 2:32:28 The Fishy The county of NE Lincolnshire should recognise that one of its greatest assets is Grimsby Town Football Club. A source of great pride to residents of the county, it is a beacon of sporting excellence that deserves a modern stadium and facilities to generate the finances which will allow professional football within the county to continue into the foreseeable future. |
