The Mariners have had a successful day in negotiating the futures of Leicester City midfielder Stuart Campbell and Vitesse Arnhem utility man Menno Willems. Both players will be included in the squad for tomorrow's clash with Fulham.

Campbell will be staying at Blundell Park until next May after Foxes manager Peter Taylor agreed to extending the 22-year old Scot's loan period.

Former Ajax star Willems has also put pen to paper on a deal which will see him at Grimsby until late February. The 24-year old became the latest addition to Lennie Lawrence's foreign legion after completing a three month loan agreement from his current club Vitesse Arnhem this morning.

It seems likely that Campbell will make his eleventh start for the Mariners at Craven Cottage, although Willems may have to settle for a place on the bench. The Mariners injury crisis deepened further today with news that Peter Handyside is a serious doubt for the match against Fulham.
