Treatment Room Empty As Players Return To Fitness

MORE good news has been handed to manager Paul Groves ahead of tomorrow night's relegation clash with Rotherham United. Just Steve Livingstone remains to be the only player not back in full training, the official GTFC site revealed, as the injury list grows smaller.

Groves recently declared himself fit for the six-pointer along with fellow defensive partner Simon Ford. The duo look likely to start the match tomorrow night.

Club captain John McDermott played 45 minutes in the reserve match last week, and although he won't be ready for the game at Mill Moor he has set his sights on playing a part in the game against Bradford this Saturday.

Michael Jeffrey and Bradley Allen are both available for selection, and Johnny Rowan has managed to shrug off his mystery back problems to give Groves a striker-selection headache.

Midfield battler Alan Pouton has recovered fast beyond anyone's expectations and will play a part in the Mariners' next reserve game against Lincoln on Wednesday afternoon. Barring any set-backs, club physio Paul Mitchell believes the former York player could be back in first team action in time for the televised Watford game.

All this will be music to the ears of Town fans and with a fully-fit squad, should assist them well in the battle against relegation.
