Where will Grimsby be next season?

Football Has Lost Its Head!

By: Graham Howes

THE game as we know it has finally started destroying itself. Firstly we had the Wimbledon incident were Koppel decides like a dictator that the fans should move to watch Wimbledon over 70 miles away at Milton Keynes.

Although initially the FA refused to sanction the madcap idea they in the wisdom thought that fans are not part of the game and gave him the green light for the move.

Bradford Fiasco

Richmond has got to be Houdini in disguise to mastermind the financial coup of the decade. Bradford or rather Richmond has negotiated a deal where all sacked players are re-instated to the club. This is despite the breach of the regulation that players cannot return for 12 months after leaving. They have also done a deal with the PFA to pay the players wages.

So you would now think that Bradford have a transfer embargo like all clubs until they refund the PFA. Well not if you Richmond he has managed a deal that if a player leaves he can replace him. How does Halifax, Lincoln or any other club feel considering they were not allowed to bring in any players while they owed money to the PFA.

Airdrie or Cowdenbeath Fiasco

It was a sad day to see a club go under when Airdrie went into liquidation. However a new mogul bought the club in Jim Ballantyne who set up Airdrie United. The club applied for football league status was refused. Now for the sick part it turns out that Mr Ballantyne has decided to buy-out Clydebank football club and now going to call them Airdrie United.

Effectively promoting Airdrie and left poor old Clydebank fans without a club or paddle. What is more an outrage is the Scottish football authority has sanctioned his diabolical move.

God knows I fear for Town over the last move. Gives Pearson of Hull idea's to get Hull in the first division in one swoop. Surely if football has any credibility we need FIFA and UEFA to throw out the people in charge of the game in Scotland and England before they destroy it forever.
