Radio Blunderside

HAVING read Billo’s piece about no commentaries on Radio Humberside for next season, it makes me wonder who make these decisions at the Football Club and make the PR department(if there is one) so silly.
So will they give people who have handed over hard earned money for Mariners World refunds as people all around the world bought this service on the proviso they get commentaries on Grimsby Town games, now we face listening to reports instead of live coverage of the games.
I wonder if this has anything to do with the spat that the Club and Radio Humberside had two seasons ago and had to be sorted out by the BBC and Football League national level because the football club were well out of their depth in the end and had to climb down over this matter.
I know Radio Humberside want to serve Grimsby Town as it has done under previous campaigns but isn’t willing to pay 60% over the odds to do it.To me this is yet another poor decision by the Club depriving it of something every Town fan will use over the next eight months and I wonder what other Town fans will think of this when the news of this spreads through them.
Let's face it this will make the Club look like a laughing stock throughout football as we will be remembered for all these silly decisions that the Football Club make.
The Fishy understands that Grimsby Town wanted double what was on the table and more than double what the Football League thought the rights were worth and this has resulted in Radio Humberside not being able to talk to Graham Rodger and the players untill this matter is resolved (if it will be).
