Lee Peacock

Lee Peacock was one of those players who polarised opinion at Blundell park, for everyone who thought him an intelligent, dedicated striver, there was someone who thought him a past-it show pony, with daft tattoos.

He certainly though knew how to play the game, and under Neil Woods he was able to lead the line in the rough and tumble of the Conference. Injuries though had appeared to take their toll on Lee and he missed chunks of Woods's last season. It was no real surprise then that when Scott and Hurst arrived, his days were numbered.

I regard Lee fondly, as someone who gave his all, someone who wanted to engage the fans and bring on the younger players. I'd have loved to see him alongside Liam Hearn in his first season, but S&H went for the equally enigmatic Elding, a mistake in my view.
