Quoted from BFCTV BOSS
From the tone of this forum I suspect you want your manager to play the same lot, get beat as worst case, but talk about promotion as the target

With all due respect Paul I think perhaps you suspect wrong.
Sometimes it doesn't ALWAYS need a sledge hammer to crack a nut (no disrespect).
But if the nut's "at the back" of the sofa it isn't always that easy to do...

Our pitch is not as good as yours ) so your players need to pull their fingers out and get stuck in because if they don't they may well get beat.

To be honest I'm wondering how many a reserve side ready, eager & willing and more skillful could put past you.
Presumably we're fitter, quicker and younger (and possibly stronger) and more durable than you ex pros lot too?

Not sure if Wednesday's too soon for you ?
By the sound of it, might take you a good week to get your breath back !
Would be no such worries for us we'd be fresh as a daisy...

To be honest I'm not even fully convinced you'd be able to get out your own half or get 1 shot on target, let alone score !
Or if you did you might be 3 down by the time you'd realised !

Perhaps the only bottle you've really got is one with a Buxton label stuck onto it ?
That's a "nice shape" too !

Anyway honestly and sincerely pleased you enjoyed your day out, hope you made the most of it (while you could ?).
Who knows perhaps you'll even score or get to the 2nd round next year too ?

Anyway thanks for the link and best wishes... (I guess you may need it !  )

All the very best.

Bloody Hell 80's do you understand the dictionary definition of "Patronising"?

It's called reverse psychology, good old fashioned team talk and banter.

Don't get me wrong he sounds like a very good, fair and nice bloke. Even offered us the highlights too ?

But let's be honest here as well...
THEY started it all off with their mind games in the GET which I didn't rise to and just let go.
But now they've come on here GIVING IT LARGE again and tbh, feel like they deserve a taste of their own medicine.

Whilst I don't want to take any risks with the league, I'll tell you one thing...
I would absolutely LOVE IT if we sent a weakened reserve side down there to beat them.

And I think we can, in fact we KNOW we can !
So what are we waiting for ?...

Let's rally the troops chomping at the bit to get going with 100% commitment, desire and energy and show these cocky g1ts how it REALLY done.

Let's send a weakened reserve side down there and fookin HAMMER them !!!!!

Not at all.
tbh I'm just fed up no-one seems to have any faith in our reserve players and automatically assumes they can't beat Buxton.
Can't people see
a) it's not a certainty we'd lose to Buxton by any means
and
b) the HUGE benefits it would provide if we won ? (or even if we didn't for that matter).

I liked the picture of the ball on its own in the sky. Reminded me of the days when the Telegraph ran a competition called "spot the ball" where a picture was published with the ball removed and you put a cross where you thought it was. Great fun, maybe The Trust can resurect it as a fund raiser.

I remember those days.
You'd be wondering what logic to use to guess where it might be !
