Yeah I wondered this too...
What do you reckon...?

Says
"Amounts are per club in each round. Numbers in brackets represent the number of winning clubs per round"

Clearly states winner of each round wins the amount in the brackets.

Yes. Someone made reference to seeing you in the just-back thread!

"Did the mods take this into account, when aaron slobbers all over threads with his garbage and attention seeking posts ( though not always) that when he gets put in his place, he could abuse his position and delete comments and block members- no offence but he's the sort of mammary that would do this. the whole decision is beyond belief imo" Hagrid

I read on here the other day that somebody thought it would be better to forget the Trophy to concentrate on the league. In that case, I suggest you leave Dusty on the bench - he has got form, y'know, for lifting the Trophy. His finger prints are all over it

Must admit I wondered if you might be wrong but you're right.

Wikipedia says too:
"The prize fund is cumulative, so a team that starts in the preliminary round and wins through several rounds would receive £2,000 for the preliminary round, £2,300 for the first qualifying round, £3,000 for the second qualifying round, and so on."

Just suprised no-one picked me on on it before !

Oh well good news and thanks for pointing that out.

Not sure it changes my view a huge amount but it certainly does a bit.
And as it happens we've come through with a slightly understrength team anyway too so it's a "win-win" all over.

Think they picked a good side tonight !

Mixture of first team and reserves (well done you pollsters) and came through !
Thank god no extra time and we've knocked the smile off Buxton's faces as well.

I hope we've learn something anyway - you don't ALWAYS have to pick "the best/strongest team" to win.

I know you're probably looking for a bite seen as you have mentioned it several times so I will promptly give you the satisfaction.

Not sure how last night wasn't our strongest side available, except for upfront and possibly Thanoj.

First choice keeper, first choice defence minus Pond. Wood was rested in the last few games and apparently ill. First choice midfield minus Thanoj (who you wouldn't play on a pitch like that anyway). Southwell in for the injured Neilson and Colbeck.

Only upfront was different and then who knows if Rankine is going to be first choice as he only just got here.

Finally we had to bring on our two first choice strikers in Cook and Hannah before we actually scored to win anyway!

As for reserves every single one who started last night are always in our 16 man match day squad when fit. (except Rankine obviously) and all of them except Southwell (replaced injured Neilson and Colbeck), Miller (replaced injured Pond) and G Pearson have started the majority of our league matches this season.

IMO it was our strongest possible line up apart from Hannah last night, maybe Rankine instead of Cook but to early to say on that as he's only just got here.

Seems that it wasn't pretty but we got the job done, which is the main thing. Games like that are never usually easy.
